So much fun! My wife and I had to give this one a go while we were visiting. It's a little hidden away but the rooms are so creative and definitely a challenge even for the seasoned escapist!
The staff were lovely and obviously passionate about their puzzles.
Who wouldn't want to be able to claim to have done the Northern most escape room in the world?

I had heard about this place for a while, but had not tested it even if I live in Tromsø. We decided to give it a try and do not regret. One hour of pure pleasure and fun! Ill try out the second room soon!
An advice: Try advertice about your place on Aurora Kino! It was hard to find the location and im sure more people will enjoy the place if you advertised some more!

This was our first visit to an escape room. There was one hour to get out and we had 4' 40" left in the end, but we had to use some hints. It was super fun way to spend some time in a rainy and cloudy day. No experience from previous escape rooms but the clues seemed to be designed well because group work was essential.

I went there with two buddies and had a blast. It was my first escape room but definitely not my last. We were in the room called John winter and really got some mind twisters

We did one of the available escape rooms as a group of 4 friends. The theme for this escape room is fantastic. The riddles are so fun and cleaverly put together! We had a great time. So far my favorite escape room! Highly recomended both for tourists and locals. The game master was very kind, did a nice explanation and was very helpfull, though we only needed one clue. Great fun!

What a great place. We had not visited an escape room before but we thoroughly enjoyed it. A great way to work together as a team to figure out the clues and escape from the room. Switch your brain into thinking mode and start searching for clues. You get a real buzz as you start putting the pieces together and work out the cryptic clues. We can't wait to try other escape rooms back home in England. Highly recommend giving this a go!!!

Artic Escape is 30 seconds walk from the Scandic grand in Tromsø.
We've done a number of established escape rooms in the UK and this easily as good, if not better than the best we've experienced.
If you've not done anything like this before it is basically an interactive puzzle game where you have 60 mins to 'escape' from the room by searching for clues, solving puzzles and cracking locks to progress through the room.
The great thing about these activities is that they are prescriptive time wise (60 mins) so easy to plan your day around or use as a time filler between tours, activities and meals etc, also because it is 100% indoors weather is not a factor in the enjoyment and you can save for a rainy day if required.
We did 'John Winters Office' as there was only two of us, but as we're relatively experienced with these rooms the staff commented that we could have probably done well in both rooms, despite the second room being advised for 3 persons minimum.
One thing I would say is the staff at Arctic Escape are very friendly and clearly escape room enthusiasts themselves who are very conscious that some people may not be familiar with the concept and provide just the right amount of guidance both before and during the activity. There is a also a well produced video and start sequence to get you warmed up for puzzle solving which really added to the experience.
The room itself was very well laid out with some interesting features that we had not seen before and difficult enough that with a couple of hints we were able to 'escape' with 3.5 mins to spare!
Well recommended for couple and groups alike, a great change of scene from the outdoor and cultural activities in Tromsø.

A highlight of our trip, and our 18 year old niece's favourite activity during our whole holiday in Tromso, we all had a great (and challenging!) time trying to escape John Winter's office (successfully, though only just!). This is our second Escape the Room, our first being in New York City after which we we were hooked. Though the same concept, we found Arctic Escape in Tromso an even better experience because we had the room to ourselves rather than being grouped with strangers to reach the maximum capacity. Our host was very friendly and personable, and we had a great time chatting with him before and after our attempted escape. If you have never done an Escape the Room before - and even if you have - this is a must do in Tromso!

Exciting and challenging teampuzzles👍Probably suited from age 10- 11and upwards but the host is generous with hints during the mission. We were 3 participants and that seemed like the right amount of heads.

Bonjour, mon anglais est moyen Est-ce que l'escape game est quand même faisable ??
Written December 4, 2017
Hi Fabienne,
Our games can be played by everyone. The game master can assist you with translating the very limited text written in English to your preferred language with the help of google translate. Same thing with potential hints you might need 😊
Kind regards,
Marius
