We did a Northern lights tour with Andrei during the last week of december. We already had prior contact about what camera equipment would be suited etc, in which Andrei was very helpfull. The tour was really good, even though the Northern lights were very...More

We hoped to gain both a sight of and a better understanding of the Northern Lights and Andrei was just the most amazing guide. Easy to find the pick up, just 8 of us and Andrei with his knowledge of the lights and his photographic...More

I went on the Fjord tour on my first day in Tromso, not knowing what to expect, it being January and before the sun comes back. It was a lot better than I expected. The sky was clear and bright and we had the most...More

What can I say? It looked like a bad night, almost every tour didn’t see the Northern Lights but Andrei did all he could to ensure we could see them and produced some wonderful photos for us! Sat outside on a picturesque frozen beach by...More

We went on the Fjord Landscape Tour with Horia on 2nd Jan 2019. It started at 10am, and everyone were right on time. There were 7 of us altogether (we are a family of 4 and another a family of 3). Easily accommodate in the...More

The weather was against us from the start, but Horia was completely honest about our chances of seeing the aurora. Clouds and low solar activity meant the odds were stacked against us, but somehow Horia managed to make a really enjoyable trip. We managed to...More

I would highly recommend using this company for a northern lights tour. Horia was an incredible guide! The possibility of seeing the lights on our day was very low due to the weather but he drove us to Finland to make sure we could see...More

Horia was great. He took us to some really nice spots and my photos turned very nice. What I enjoyed the most was his conversation. From the mundane to explaining the Norwegian and Sami culture, Horia was just a joy to be around. As far...More

2 nights in Tromso (6 Replies)
Hi, We'll be in Tromso on 14 and 15 April, landing on 13th at 7 pm and flying out to Oslo 16th morning. We plan to take a NL tour on 14th night. There are 2 companies operating during these dates namely Enjoy the Arctic and Arctic explorers. Any recommendations or could we go with anyone of them... We also plan to do husky sledding and take a fjords tour as long as they are not covering the same landscapes. Or do we rent a car on one of the days and explore the fjords ourselves? Whale...More

You can potentially do a night sledding tour (which we did) but eh lights is up to chance, and it's late in the season. Speaking to the guy who owns the operation we used (Active Tromsø), they had bad snow this year, so sledding may not be possible. It snowed they night we sledged, so no lights.
