We had a wonderful experience last year on a Northern Lights workshop with Adrien of Night Light Films on Senja Island and this year again booked a workshop with Adrien. He is such a knowledgeable and experienced guide we always felt safe and that we had the best possible chance of seeing the lights. Adrien leaves nothing to chance and is so well prepared, checking weather patterns, clouds etc to ensure his clients have the best possible chance of photographing the Aurora. Weather can be challenging and Adrien is constantly striving to make sure his clients are in the right place at the right time. He is highly respected by the other guides and runs webinars on line which are very informative . I also recommend his e book The Aurora Chase which is a wealth of information and gives practical advice on gear, settings etc which can be purchased for a small fee. I highly recommend Night Light Films for a masterclass in the Aurora and the night sky as Adrien is so professional, dedicated and his passion for the Aurora is a joy to behold. Our nights with Adrien have been so successful and something we will never forget. He is always working away in the background and his photos and videos of our night are indeed very special. We are returning to Malangen in Norway in February 2024 and have already booked our trip with Adrien and will continue to support Night Light Films.

I work myself as a Northern Lights guide in Tromsø, and have done it for years, but I decided to take Adrien's Aurora Chasing Online Webinar to get an even deeper knowledge about every single step and detail that comes into the creation of the Aurora.
Working as a guide often allows very little time left to concentrate too much on the scientific aspect of the Aurora, since we guides have to focus on many things like driving, photography and giving our guests the best experience possible.
But I found priceless to learn more about space and auroral science thanks to the very detailed explanations of Adrien, who never hesitated to do steps back in case someone attending the course had questions etc. The material he provides on the course is created by himself and extremely well crafted.
So, if you want to know everything about how the Northern Lights are created, what to look for if you're chasing them and how to predict them better, Adrien's courses are the best option you can find, worldwide.
He also organises field workshops, which will make the whole experience even more complete, from the school table to the action part :)

I really liked this course. Adrien addressed the participants' topics and concerns 100%. All content was visualized and explained very clearly. I100% recommend this course for anyone who wants to know more about solar wind and the northern lights.

We had the pleasure of having Adrien Mauduit as our Aurora Borealis guide when visiting Norway this February. As well as being very knowledgeable about the science behind the northern lights, he was also great at explaining, so everyone could understand. His photography is simply stunning and we are so happy with the photos he made for us. Additionally we all enjoyed his company. We happily recommend his services!

Our first experience seeing the northern lights in Norway was a fantastic experience! Adrien is a true master of nighttime photography and so willing to share his passion.
His workshop will get you to the most picturesque areas of Senja island.
Thank you Adrien!

Adrien is an excellent photographer, very friendly and pedagogical. We had a great evening and managed to take some beautiful photos thanks to his guidance.
He had chosen a wonderful location near Tromso, not the first we had planned because he was able to adapt at the last moment to changeable weather.
I hope to be able to come back another year to redo a field workshop with him.

I travelled from Australia to Senja Island in Norway to fulfill a dream of seeing and hopefully capturing Lady Aurora on my camera. I had seen Aurora a few nights prior and managed to get a few shots which I was stoked with until I met and attended the incredibly talented Adrien Mauduit @Night Lights – Adrien Mauduit Photography & Film workshop on how to shoot Aurora. What an experience, I then realised I had no idea about night shooting even though my camera did lol. Adrien’s teaching were 4 simple rules broken down step by step. Another tip you needed a tripod, I didn’t have one, Adrien lent me one of his. After our class it was time to jump into the van and tour the island he knows so well and shoot from some landmark spots. What a magical experience out came Lady Aurora, I was so in awe I forgot about all the teachings yet again Adrien stepped in. Our second location my spare battery died as being in extreme coldness drains them. Aurora was out and I couldn’t shoot, was just about to have personality breakdown and Adrien to the rescue, back to van he had spare battery for my camera, and we moved location. Aurora moved into a sub storm and my dream became a reality. Adrien can’t thank you enough, it was one of the most magical experiences of my life and brought peace to my soul. Anyone looking for a workshop and seeing Aurora please contact this amazing photographer. A must do if you visit Senja Island.

I have been following Adrien Mauduit's "Night Lights Films" on FB for some time. Among many aurora photos and videos I follow, his unique reddish and purple hue stands out. They are exceptionally beautiful compositions with soothing music.
Recently I visited Senja, Norway and sought him out for his advice on Aurora and night sky chasing photography. I had a two-hour private workshop.
His lecture was clear; able to explain so well and simply in lay term about Aurora borealis and its photography. He is an inspiring photographer with excellent teaching ability. He is born to teach!
I strongly recommend him for aurora chasing field photography experience.

My experience was unforgettable! Both the location and the guide were amazing.
The guide is very professional and has great skills in northern sky lights photography (Auroras and Milky Way).
I can tell he is really passionate about nature and Northern lights. He was also really great in explaining this phenomenon to me ( I was largely ignorant about how northern lights are generated ).
He knows very well the area of Senja, which is a wonderful place to visit btw, and was very helpful in adjusting the rest of my trip, advising me very nice places to visit.
In summary I strongly recommend this experience, you will not regret this choice, and this will be unforgettable for sure (not only because of the pictures you will take :) ).
Takk Adrien !

We booked a night photography field workshop with Adrien, who had chosen the best location ever near Tromso. We met him there and after only 5 minutes we were surprised by the most beautiful northern lights which we had ever seen. We have been trying for a long time to get the perfect photo, which we succeeded with Adrien's support in a short time. In addition, through him we were able to gain many knowledge of the Aurora. We can unreservedly recommend this tour and would book it again at any time.
