Great dog sledding, a little bit too expensive maybe

Dog sledding has been amazing, I spent really a good time here. Staff is very polite. I took the night tour and I found it exciting. Dogs also are very friendly. At the end we had... read more

We took the dog-sledding tour Lyngsfjord Adventure in Nov 16 as our original tour in Tromso was cancelled due to insufficient snow. Many thanks to Ann-Isabel for accommodating our last minute booking. The location is possible an hour and a half away from Tromso but snow was guaranteed here due to their location in the high mountains. With this information,... More

Mid January this year my girl friend and I went to Tromso in search of the Northen Lights. We found them! Whilst in Tromso we went on day trips with the great people at Lyngsfjord Adventure! They were simply amazing, flexible, friendly and memorable. There was a booking mix up with our travel agent which saw us doing day trips... More

4 of us visited in Feb 2016. It was an awesome experience ... in all. We were booked for the tour that commenced in the morning, 9am of 17 Feb. When we reached the meeting place, the guide was waiting for us .. only to tell us that the tour was cancelled because of an avalanche the night before resulting... More

Our group of 10 booked an overnight tour at Camp Tamok, with reindeer sledding in the evening and snowmobiling the next morning. Firstly, food is good (of the gamey variety - reindeer one night and lamb the next afternoon) of limited servings so you may want to pack extra snacks. Some of us stayed in the aurora cabin and it... Arrived in Camp Tamok in the evening using the camp bus. Got changed in the changing room to winter suits and helmet. The changing room is very well equipped. We then got a briefing from the guide on how to use snow mobile. Then we set off. It was flat at first through the forest. We need to follow the... More

First off, we booked the private tour Northern Light for a group of 6 adults at the end of March. We drove on our own and the guide, Andrea welcomed us. A rude chap who knows nothing of basic manners. As other reviewers mentioned, he left us on our own while hes busy flirting with his lady colleague. They handed... More

My girlfriend and I booked the snowmobiling at night and dog sledding in the morning with the overnight stay. If you are doing both activities I do recommend doing the snowmobiling at night and dog sledding in the morning since you can see the dogs during daylight and they will have their rest! Snowmobiling is a lot cooler at night... More

Left for the 7 hour dog sled tour from the Scandic Ishavshotel in Tromso. The drive to Camp Tamok was about 75 minutes. Upon arrival, we were split into groups by excursion. We changed into warm overalls then went outside to get our sleds. Our instructor demonstrated how to ride / drive the dog sled. My partner and I (another... More

Booked an overnight in the Aurora Chalet at Camp Tamuk with the Northern Lights the night before and the Reindeer Sledding in the morning. The experience was disappointing. Here's the run down of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good: beautiful location and friendly staff. The Aurora Chalet was nice, warm, and very cozy. The Bad: First, there... More
