- Propaganda_MachineTrstenik, Croatia1,318 contributionsA fun experienceThis is one of the only bars where you drink gets colder rather than warmer, the longer is sits on your table. Constructed inside a large studiospace, this is an artificial ice bar but don't let that put you off: all of the sculptures are made of ice and if it were not for the controlled low temperature, the place would genuinely melt away. You pay a reasonable entrance fee, which includes a beer, and after that you pay if you want more drinks. It was good to see there was no pressure or expectation that you would buy more drinks, you could happily just have the one and enjoy the ambience. There are several impressive sculptures to see and small rooms with tables and fur skin rugs that allow you to sit down and not feel the chill from the ice benches. Cold weather coats are provided but we just turned up on our cold weather gear. Sitting with your beer on the ice table getting colder by the minute is a novel sensation and contributes to the real 'fun' feel of the place. It is something a bit out of the ordinary and definitely worth a visit. In fact we came back at least once more because it really was (wait for it) a very cool bar. Thanks for reading.Visited February 2019Written January 18, 2020
- Chris MAlcala De Henares, Spain63 contributionsA must do at Tromso!Taking under consideration that we failed to see the northern lights and sea wildlife, I would say that the ice bar was my most complete experience in Tromso! I just loved it! Not only it's a unique experience but also, bc Tromso activities are super expensive, was the only thing that was value for money. 22 euros with welcome drink included. Make time to stay and enjoy the lovely art work, it's indeed magical, you are given a thermal Poncho and special gloves to cope with the cold. The staff was super friendly, especially our bartender, a lovely Spanish girl. Congratulations to all that contributed, especially to the artists!Visited January 2020Traveled with friendsWritten January 22, 2020
- claireypurpleGuernsey, United Kingdom58 contributionsCool experienceWe visited one afternoon in March 22. It was quiet, with only a handful of customers. It was expensive (everything is in Norway, especially alcohol) I can't remember how much, but it was, for us, a unique opportunity to experience an ice bar and it was enjoyable. I think it was -5 inside but we were well wrapped up as it was cold and snowing outside and we didn't need to accept the offer of additional clothes. Our deal included 2 drinks each, the first a wine based fruity drink and the second anything from the cocktail list. The bar, tables and benches were made of ice and there were some ice sculptures. It was a fun experience and I'm glad we did it but it was one of those things you probably don't need to do more than once.Visited March 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten April 11, 2022
- aja787Southampton, United Kingdom45 contributionsTouristyA fun thing to do whilst visiting the arctic circle, but do bear in mind that it has a metal floor and does feel quite touristy, in comparison to the genuine outdoor versions that exist in that region. There are different entry fee options, we chose the one with a free cocktail, which is overpriced but we accepted that we'd pay a premium for the novelty factor. We were the only ones in the bar most of the time, which meant we had to wait a bit to get served as there were no staff around. What ruined it slightly was that the staff whisked away our glasses as soon as we'd taken the last sip, turned the music off and the lights up over half an hour before they were due to close. We had wanted to stay longer but felt forced out, which slightly tarnished the experience. Booking is not necessary but you do get a discount if you book online or at the ticket office in advance of going in.Visited February 2020Written March 14, 2020

Made up of different designs purely in ice is good experience...Even though its freezing cold inside, they do provide warm cloths and also complimentary wine.. Their gift items are also worth purchasing..cost is 225NOK per head.. I think it's worth to visit onceVisited December 2019Traveled as a coupleWritten January 24, 2020
- Delmor M6 contributionsIce cold feelingWe paid 225Kr each for this, that’s about £18. We stayed about ten minutes. It was pathetic. It was small with basically one room with alcoves. The sculptures were poor. We also noticed discounts being given, we paid online in advance. I can honestly say it was the most disappointing experience of our holiday in Norway. I would not recommend this too anyone.Visited January 2023Written February 2, 2023
- David BToronto, Canada349 contributionsWorth a visitNot too many bars like this one! Fun experience, take some good photos inside, have a couple drinks and admire some ice sculptures. So, a few things to know before you go. They provide overcoats and gloves if visiting in summer so take them, but even still, you won’t want to linger here for the whole evening, it gets chilly! Probably half an hour and you are done. One of our group said the visit was slightly cheaper if you purchase you ticket online in advance, so you might as well. They have a few drink packages you can buy, the one that gets you two drinks instead of just one is much better value for a second drink. (Which you might find you want anyway.) The drinking glasses are all made of ice too, so the drinks were very cold and I really enjoyed my favourite single malt in a tiny ice shot which I then chewed up and ate.Visited June 2023Traveled with friendsWritten June 24, 2023
- Isobel SEly, United Kingdom46 contributionsLovely but freezing funAn amazing experience drinking out of ice cups, sat on chairs made of ice surrounded by ice sculptures everywhere. Wrapped up in the provided clothes and gloves was a lovely way to spend 30 mins. Was glad it was a warm day once we left to warm up.Visited July 2022Written August 8, 2022
- Dannie SFarnborough, United Kingdom34 contributionsHas to be doneWe recently visited this venue as part of a holiday. Checked in at reception and handed our drink tokens as well as provided thermal coats (like a large thick poncho) before heading in. Bar service was great and the bartender was very helpful and able to advise. Drinks served in an ice glass and ice sculptures / drawings around the room. Club music playing to create a fun atmosphere. 45 minute estimated time limit which is more than enough. Lots of fun and definitely recommend if you haven’t experienced before. The day we went it was -7 outside so it actually felt warmer in the ice bar!Visited February 2023Traveled with friendsWritten February 26, 2023
- Tobias RLondon, United Kingdom1,588 contributionsGood fun - freezing cold thoughNice venue and a lot of fun if you have some time in Tromso. At the entrance you can chose your experience how long you would like to stay and how many drinks you want. I would recommend to go for 1 drink because it is freezing cold in there. You get a lovely warm Poncho before you go in there and believe me you need it. I am a bit on the frosty side so if you are good in the cold you can stay longer if you fancy. But inside there is not a lot to see to be honest. There are a few nice sculptures, benches and tables where you can sit down. Nice concept. We enjoyed it. The -6 Celcius outside felt like a heatwave afterwards ;-)Visited November 2022Written December 1, 2022

Nice venue and a lot of fun if you have some time in Tromso.
The -6 Celcius outside felt like a heatwave afterwards ;-)
