About Tromso Flexitour
Tromso Flexitour is a small private company who provides small group tours with an 8 seat minivan VW Caravelle up to 8 guests. We stand out from other guiding companies because we offer all the warm clothing you need in the arctic climate! This includes thermal dresses, warm boots, mittens, hats and hand-/toewarmers for northernlights tours. For Fjord tours we want you to be warm as well, so our thermal dresses will surely keep you warm enough during our beautiful tour! (but please take your warm boots with you). Included in our price are also the pictures we make for you to remember this unique arctic experience! After each tour we will send you the pictures to your emailadress, up to maximum 5 pictures per guest. We at Flexitour also care a lot about the environment/global warming and therefore we offer our guests glutenfree/ vegetarian and vegan food options, so we can start to change together, because every little step is a big one :)

A friend of us recommended Flexitours when we wanted to hunt for the northern light/Aurora and we certainly don’t regret following the advice. Daniel is extremely customer friendly and flexible and really wanted us to have the best experience. Hence, he came to our hotel on the evening of our original booking and explained to us (with the help of some weather/Aurora apps) that the best thing would be to postpone the trip until the next day, as the changes of seeing the northern light would be much higher then. So we did. And we dont regret. We saw the beautiful Aurora dancing in the sky. The whole trip was very comfortable and Daniel provided warm clothing/warm drinks and tasty enchiladas and pastry for us. He was very helpful and he really did his best so that we could see the northern lights. We would absolutely recommend Flexitours if you want to go hunting.

We had a great time on our fjord excursion with Daniel, and would definitely recommend others to tour with Flexitour. He took us on short notice when another company cancelled on us due to us only being two people. We got picked up at our hotel, and had a private tour around Sommerøya and the surrounding area. The tour was comfy and we saw beautiful nature and some animals. Daniel was vert flexible and let us have a say in where to go and what to see. He also brought us a good lunch and warm drinks, and took great photos. We would definetly do another tour at some other time if we get the opportunity!

I have to give Daniel five stars! He was an excellent host, guide, driver, photographer, everything. He saw to our every need and made our Northern Lights Tour an absolute pleasure. The minibus was extremely comfortable, we were kept warm and fed, and driven back to our door. What an experience... A big thank you!

This tour was incredibly well organised. The tour starts earlier than some of the others in Tromso which means you get maximum time available. All the guides in Tromso tend to work together helping each other out with information about best locations, but because of the early departure Daniel often gets the best spots. Flexitour provides the cold weather clothing and footwear required, which is essential as it can be a long cold wait. Also provided- good quality tripods, heat pads, food, snacks hot drinks and a fire to keep warm. Daniel has excellent knowledge of DSLR cameras, and will help you get set up. he takes excellent photos of the northern lights with and without the clients, which he shares as part of the tour within 24 hours. This is a small tour (up to 8 people) run by a very small but high quality team. I believe that refunds or second night discounts are available if the northern lights do not appear at all. Luckily we got the perfect night so cannot be precise with that information. After a long cold night he will deliver you back to your front door, rather than the pick-up point. Finally a big thanks to Daniel himself, he was absolutely outstanding, having toured with another company on another night the difference in quality was remarkable. he is incredibly professional, with attention to detail and the comfort of his customers. Regularly checking for any updates to conditions and changing times if that is likely to improve your chances due to changing weather conditions (please note you may be asked to meet a little earlier than when first booked). Definitely someone I would recommend to family and friends.

Everything that was promised on the website about this Northern Lights chase was fulfilled and more! Daniel is an excellent tour guide. He told us when he met us in Tromso that there was only a 50% chance of seeing the lights and that he would go all the way to Finland if needed to help us experience the Northern Lights. We did not have to go quite to Finland before he found us a beautiful, clear spot to look for the lights. We had a campfire to help us keep warm and he prepared us a delicious meal and dessert. He helped us with our camera settings and took lots of pictures with his own camera that he shared with us the following day. The pictures are beautiful and that tour was a huge success! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tromso!
