We had the Wild Food and Kayaking experience and it was one of the highlights of our trip in Lofoten :)
We were incredibly lucky to have an unusual warm night with clear sky, calm water and no wind, perfect conditions to fully appreciate the trip!
Kristian is a wonderful guide, he provided great tips for paddling without effort and lots of interesting information about the surrounding and birds.
Julie is very passionate about wild herbs and gave us many useful info on plants in the area.
While kayaking we harvested some truffle seaweed and once on the island we collected herbs to make tea. We also found cloudberries (my faves!), blueberries, mushrooms and wild spinach.
The island is amazing :)
We warmed up in front of a bonfire and had dinner with a sandwich and our personal herbal tea.
Kristian also panfried the seaweed and it turned out sooo tasty!
Before paddling back we spent some time chatting in front of the bonfire, just relaxing and enjoying the view. Julie also played a song written by her, making that night even more special, she has the sweetest voice!
Thank you guys for the wonderful experience ❤️ We wish you all the best and recommend this trip to everyone!

I had my most organized and well planned trip with Pukka travellers. Before even I came to Tromso I requested them many times to adapt my itinerary and during the stay aswell I am impressed by their customer service. Especially their customer support Marie is a gem. Thanks alot once again for making my stay in Tromso extremely efficient and memorable

We travelled to Tromso with our family of four for a few days in the midst of new corona rules and travel restrictions. The experience with Pukka couldnt have been better. Everything from the E-mail conversations (caring, personal emails with everything you could wish for and more) to their facilities (welcoming any traveler any time to pop into their HQ for a hot chocolate), to the planning and execution of their tours (we did the midnight sailing which was a super personal, almost intimate experience and the husky sledding which was through a partner organization that made the kids simply not wanting leave the kennel). Needless to say, they are also super flexible when it came to basically last minute change our sailing trip to a later day with better weather. What more can one ask?
These are tough times for any your operator, but with so much great customer focus I hope they make it through. Special thanks to Anton, the one person captain / cook / sailing instructor and also to Jessica - you have both been amazing!

Phenomenal 3 hour catamaran cruise to witness the Northern Lights. While the Northern Lights were not visible on the night of our excursion, Michael and Gustav provided us with so much enjoyment that we did not miss the lights. Their dedication to providing a safe, informative, and inspiring adventure truly sets their tour apart We felt like a part of their family. The homemade fish soup was delicious, and Michael was kind enough to share his recipe. A truly wonderful time!!

Thank you for this lovely review of our Northern Lights Sailing and we are so appreciative that you could enjoy the tour even without the Northern Lights. We believe that there is so much more to the Arctic than the aurora and encourage all guests to embrace the nature! I can´t wait to share your kind words with Mihail and Gustav. Warmest regards from Team Pukka.

Online booking process was fine, with good communication, however the first early morning trip we were due to go on (Husky sledding) had a problem in that the actual tour operator did not have our reservation when we arrived and the bus was full. We had to go to the Pukka Travel office to get it resolved, which they did, however a revised later booking with a new company had a knock on effect on our second booked activity time wise and I had to highlight this to them rather than them realising it...we would have missed our second activity! Meant the second activity (Northern Lights bus tour) had to be revised too and we literally got off one bus and straight onto another which was not ideal as we had no opportunity to get dinner/food between activities and no time to stretch our legs between bus journeys.
It was my husband's 40th birthday the following day and I specifically asked for Pukka to arrange for a surprise cake/cupcakes to be on the Northern Lights trip so I could bring in his birthday at midnight with our fellow bus tour group members. I offered to pay for this request and they agreed to have it arranged. When at the office I was told (and him!) they had the cake ready but yet didn't bother have it brought to the new tour operator, literally 2 minutes around the corner before our evening trip. I found this very disappointing and a big let down as I had it arranged well beforehand.
Was an unfortunate experience with Pukka Travel however would not expect this to be a regular occurrence for their clients. All our activities ended up being through a different operator and they were great and engaging. No follow-up was done either by Pukka after their mistake which surprised me. All part of good customer service and expectation.

For two years in a row, I booked Pukka Travels northern light tours for myself and the members of our photoclub. Every evening, the managed to find the right spot to watch the lights and make pictures with a nice background. Excellent minibus, good drivers, friendly guides ... what else do you want more ?

We had just finished a Hurtigruten cruise and still nit seen the lights. As soon as we embarked we approached Pukka Tours to try and book an excursion the last night we were in Tromso. The girls couldn’t have been more helpful. My husband and I were treated to a night to remember!! Fully kitted out with snow boots / suits we were off and away from 6pm - midnight. Chasing the lights with s small group in a minivan. The three guides were very friendly knowledgeable and hospitable. We spent hours out in the snow inns communal wooden shelter on an outer island. Good company hot soup / chocolate and toasted marshmallows help while away the time while we waited for the cloud to clear!! Not the perfect light show ( no one can guarantee that )but we got some good pictures and plenty of laughs
Fully recommend this team and this outing

We originally booked a Northern Lights trip with Pukka but an early cruise departure meant we would not be back in time. Nathan at Pukka not only sorted us a refund even though it was late in the day but also put us in contact with another company who had a shorter tour. It’s nice to find such a good honest company like this and would highly recommend you give them a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Special thanks to Nathan.

I did all my tours in Lofoten with Pukka travels.
They are very professional young and passionate about their jobs.
I contacted them in advance and ask for a five day itinerary which they did, Zeline was very helpful.
We did hiking sailing kayak horseback riding in the midnight sun and car excursions.
Thank you very much Pukka travels, especially our guides: Janie, Jess and Lucca, you were amazing and very good company.
I would definitely recommend them and will contact them again when I return to Norway to see the Northern Lights.

The adventure was great since the beginning, welcoming with smiles from the guides, offering tea, coffee was perfecto when you are at -16!
The main explanations about the weather and where we were going gave us on the map gave us it was very useful.
The trip on the catamaran to catch the Northern Lights was amazing!! The three guides told us what, when, how and many scientific explanations of the NL, it was very nice to learnt so much. And the top of all was that one of the guide was cooking for us a delicious fish soup during the trip!
It was a wonderful experience! PUKKA, I loved the word!
I forgot to tell you that we saw the NL and they were dancing for us!!!

Hello, I was wondering how physically difficult the snowshoe hike is? I've never really gone hiking before so I don't want to hold up the group if I get too tired. Thanks!
Written November 20, 2019
Hi,
Our Snowshoe Hike in a Tesla is operated in a small group of maximum 5 guests so we are able to adjust the level of the hike depending on who's joining the tour.
We go hiking for about 2-3 hours including a break for a picnic lunch.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Alice at Pukka Travels
