The people at the Bodø Tourist Information office were extremely helpful in planning a visit to the Saltstraumen maelstrom during a couple of hours in Bodø waiting for the ferry to Lofoten. They helped me decipher both the tide tables and the bus schedules, so...More

Worth a visit for lots of information about what to do around Bodo. You can also find cheaper souvenirs than in other places. Unfortunately, it is closed on Sundays.

You can get information and recommendations of places to visit from the staff, also maps etc of the area. The tourist information also sells souvenirs.

Bodo, on a Sunday afternoon in March, has to be one of the dullest, grey and boring places to go. No charisma, no where to go for coffee, nothing to do. Maybe better in summer/Mon-Sat), but cant recommend!!

I came to Bodø a bit unprepared, and I decided to visit the tourist information conveniently located downtown. They were very helpful with maps and time schedules for ferries and most importantly Saltstraumen so my day got very easily organized. Thanks very much!

They spoke English very well and there were plenty of maps and brochures of things to do in English. Pleasant and helpful and full of local ideas of things to do.

I know nothing about Keiservarden, but Bodo is a very small city, except the surrounding fjords are endless. I would contact the Tourist Office or the local tour company via email. Everyone speaks English and all are happy... More
