A piece of history ...

Stopped at the site with a coach tour. Impressive to see the ski jumps and the Olympic torch. It's a piece of history !

We were there during their summer (September), therefore there aren't any snow. Infact the whole arena is green in colour instead of white (snow). You can either take the chairlift from the bottom of the hill to the top of the hill, enjoy and take a good view from the top, then you can walk down. Follow the steps (metal... More

It is a nostalgic place for winter sport lovers - but not specialy attractive. A long walk from town, but nice along the river with waterfalls and pedestrian bridges.

The bobsledding (once we found it) was up to roller coaster standards of speed and thrill. It isn't in the Olympic village itself and may be hard to find however.

Our children are actually 10 and 11 so old enough to ride the wheel Bob with an adult. You ride with a driver. I didn't see much except the crash helmet of my son in front of me but it was an exciting experience to travel so fast with all the turns. The adults were a bit wobbly afterwards but... More

Went to the top via the skilift (35kr); went up the 120m and 90m slope. Amazing heights!! Took the stairs down and enjoyed the view over the valley. Great place to visit! Need about one hour.

If you're interested in sports, it is a must to visit all the sites that are related to the 1996 Olympic Games. The environment still breaths the Olympic spirit.

Tour worth taking would love to see this place in the middle of the winter to get the real feel of this place but it is even nice in June. with a half hour to 1 hours visit. Great views also from the top overlooking the City of Lillehammer.

Worth a quick stop to see the ski jump and get the perspective of this structure. There isn't a great deal to do here. You can pay to go to the top of the jump via ski lift. It was rainy when we were there so we didn't do this. There is the Olympic flame structure (no flame burning). Snack... More
