Kjosterudjuvet is a 10.000 year old, spectacular, ravine only 10 minutes from Drammen centre. The ravine is 1300meters long and the stone walls are more than 60meters high. A more exiting excursion is hard to find!

This is one of most scenic nature paths in this part of Norway. The small river, representing the exit flow from lake Gamledammen, has over the centuries carved out this gorge. During the wet months, it consists of a series of small waterfalls and a...More

We parked up at the ski center and walked the 5 minutes or so to the start of the canyon walk. It's fairly tame at the start although the rocks can be slippy. A bit farther on is where you encounter the ladders and ropes...More

Amazing experience, the more water there is the more fun. A 1300 meters canyon can take a couple og hours to climb. Your faced with a nes challenge you need to tackle all the way. A must thing to do for explorers.

Bring good shoes. Be careful if it has been a lot of rain lately, then it can be too much water in the river. You can park the car at the downhill ski slopes and walk 600 meters west to find the ravine. When you...More

If you are looking for something a bit more exiting than the normal forest trails, this is perfect. It is an easy trail, but with some jumping from stone to stone and some light climbing.

Near Kjøsterudjuvet is no cafee to leave bags. So you need to carry a backpack. This is "wilderness" but Central. really Worth the trip! I hope you visited the Place - I haven't seen the Message before today. Sorry.
