Close by the schwarzenbergplatz is this nice building, fits well to the area. Nice design did not go in but is worth while to look from outside. I understood concerts are held inside but did not go as they were closed due to covid.

Impressive building at Schwarzenbergplatz in Vienna. The building was constructed between 1906 and 1909 and opened in 1911 by Emperor Franz Joseph. Interestingly, after WWII, the building housed the Allied Council, coordinating the joint occupation of Austria by Great Britain, France, the USA and the USSR from 1945 to 1955.
The House of Industry continues to be the headquarters of the Association of Austrian Industrialists.

I am first to admit that this type of thing isn't normally for me. But, as I had never before attended an Orchestra performance, I thought it best to go along. After all that is the whole reason to travel; to have new experiences.
The venue is spectacular, clearly a witness to a lot of history. The concert hall is big enough to sit maybe 200 and this made the whole performance very cost and intimate.
The performance was a good mix of classic music, ballet and opera and was quite amazing. Each musician is clearly very talented as an individual, but as a whole they are quite amazing.
The pace of the performance was quite quick which was perfect as I never got a chance to get bored or look at my watch. Overall I would say they performed around 10-12 different pieces of music and as we attended on Christmas even, they also played some Christmas carols which was a nice touch.
This event is not just for the classical music enthusiast, but anybody with an open mind and an interest in witnessing some phenomenal talent.
My favourite performance was from the female opera singer, who had an amazing range and presence on the stage.
Overall, very happy I went.

Our hotel Intercontinental highly recommended my family and I to try out the Mozart and Strauss concert at The House of Industries. It turned out to be an excellent recommendation! The main hall wasn't too large and and we had a great view of the performance, which was fantastic. Although other concert halls may be more popular for their nicer facades, the House of Industries certainly makes up its relatively lower key building facade with a genuinely high standard performance from an infectious group of musicians that just enjoy performing on their instruments together. It was an evening well spent and would highly recommend this concert hall!

Mozart and Strauss in concert, brought by six violins, a clarinet, a flute, a cello, a double bass and someone who operates the triangle and other small instruments... due to the Christmas periode we were welcomed by some extra X-mas songs... there were two dancers and a man and woman occasionally singing! The building itself is beautiful... I really enjoyed the evening!

The concert hall is a small space and spectacular in its accoutrements. The musicians were very accomplished - a ten piece orchestra. The evening was broken up into a revolving mix of music, opera, ballet, so we never got bored. For the tiny stage, the ballet dancers did an exceptional job during those pieces of the event.
Being in Vienna, we wanted to experience an orchestra concert in an historical setting. This was the perfect evening.

i agree with others that this place is a bit of tourist trap but the music was still great and if you are not really into classical music and just want a bit of taste, this one is for you!

AVOID ALL THE PEOPLE WITH A CLOAK WHO WANTS TO SELL YOU TICKETS IN THE CITY CENTRE!! The tickets are for a show in a unknown palace and not in a theatre, it is not an opera but at some points it seemed more a cabaret with musicians like clowns and very rude people clapping their hands during the classic songs. If you want to see a show go to the opera where you can buy standing tickets from 3 euros without spending 30/50 euros for a very bad show.
