The 561-foot tower was completed in 1999 for the third millennium and was the central point of what came to be known as “Millennium City”. We drove by the building while on tour and learned it has 51 floors and is multi-use; that is, it has office space, a shopping center, restaurants, and a multiplex cinema. I gave this a 3-star rating since we only saw it from a distance.

I stayed at the hotel here and even though it is a way outside of the city, it is near the train and the Danube. Good shopping, particularly the ground floor supermarket.

The best thing is that is located close to metro station, where you can take s-bahn/u-bahn to city center.

There is a 2-level shopping mall but I was not really amazed with stores.
Also there are estaurants and caffes.

Behind the building is a promenade where you can breath fresh air and look at Dunabe.

If you are in Vienna with a child in the holiday season, I recommend you visit Santa's Grotto at Millennium City. OMG, it's like a small section of a theatre set :)
My 1 year old had amazing fun, she could crawl around on the soft carpet and played with the teddies and other kids. Perfect spot for a few hours of indoors playtime, free of charge.

Its a scam. Many if the aracades are broken and swallow your coins without letting the children play. I noticed when the kids came back after 10 min having spent 20 euro. When enquiring i realised that when they put money in a machine and it didn't work they moved to the next.to get refunded from the staff was such a hassle that we just left. No security for children:there was a couple walking a pitbull in the children area..
Super crowd on sundays.

Not a very big amount of stores, but next to a train station, with a hotel and cafés. I would say with an alright amount of stores.

15 minutes from Westbahnhof with U-6 subway, which goes partly under the city, than above the city. Get off at Handelskai station. The building is really exciting, very high, and a shopping and entertainment complex and a hotel, and office komplex. Sad, that not possible to go up to the top. Closed to the Danube and a walking path. Across the TV tower and the UNO City.

It is located not exactly in the city center but not far away. Good reachable by underground and city train. It is Ubahn line no.6, the brown one. Station- Handelskai. There are shops, restaurants, entertaiment, even hotel and biz center. There is a beautiful Donau outside.

The fourth tallest structure in Vienna is right next to the Danube. There is a walking and biking path along the Danube bank. Your family is a bit history and culture weary. It is raining. what can you do in Vienna? This mall is a bit different from american malls. There are no anchor stores, unless you count Sport 2000. The semicircular pattern is a bit confusing. There is a feeling of you can't get there from here. check out the outdoor produce section. Convince the kids to try some Austrian mall food. If that does not work, Mcd's is only steps away. If you have a sports fan I'm your family, they just might find a treasure in Sport 2000. Millennium City is on the bus line.
