In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

Bundeskanzleramt Oesterreich located in Ballhausplatz is a beautiful Chancellery building that is a great example of the type of architecture that is to be found in the Historic Center of Vienna.
My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to Minoritenplatz to look at the beautiful church on that square and passed this beautiful Chancellery, the wonderful facade is awesome, makes for some great photographic opportunities ,its buildings such as Bundeskanzleramt Oesterreich that make walking around this part of town such a joy to walk around .
Easy to locate on Ballhausplatz and most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

Nice to pass by as we walked to many tourist places. Super cold outside and not very clear what we were looking at so thanks to FB for telling me!

Near the Hofburg Palace ‘‘tis pleasant square with statues is worth passing through. Would not recommend for more than just a fleeting visit.

This is a lovely chancellery building with a nice courtyard and statues.
There's nothing much to do here from a touristic point of view, other than visit the nearby Minority church.

We have passed through the Hofburg arch passage and saw a large square with nice buildings around. There were many tourists around the site to take pictures. We also passed by this area again later at night time and took a few pictures as well for comparison. Highly recommend tourists to visit this spot.

To be found on the main drag adjacent to the Hofburg palace.
