Sick of normal standard bars, boring Irish Pubs and overpriced Night Clubs?
Then come experience a night out at the Famous Travel Shack. Like a pumping hostel bar just without the beds. Vienna's first and only Travelers Bar for Backpackers and International Students, also attracts many like-minded Locals.
We are Fully Airconditioned and have a strictly seperated smoking area!
Cheap drinks, wide selection of shots, Australian Beers, Bundaburg Rum and meat pies and Vegemite.
Try our Fire Shots, Snuff Shots, Nipple Taser, Beer Bongs and many other Unique things which we are Famous for.
Dancing on the tables and singing along with the music is standard for any night of the week.

We show all major international Sport events live on our two big projector walls and LCD screens throughout the bar.

Wouldnt recommend. Friendly employes and nice bartheme, but thats it. For example just one seatoption For the entire barsection in the mainroom, like an room with 3tables and one Seat at the bar and crazy lights going on. Plus the vibe of the people coming to the bar was from a bit friendly, to weird, to very unfriendly, but i guess thats Not the bars fault... Just sharing my experience

The security doesn’t know how to do his job. He lets everyone of us thru and the only black one he doesn’t let thru. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a doorman hes racist and doesn’t know how to his job. Also He destroyed the Sunglasses of my friend because he said they aren‘t allowed inside.

Great experience here. The staff are friendly and for a Brit, the drinks are reasonably priced. Approximately £3 for a pint of lager and there was also happy hour on spirits. The free foosball and pool tables made it all the more enjoyable. The music was also good (a mixture of 80s-00s top hits) and we enjoyed the fact they had live football on the TV. Overall a great experience and happy that we went.

Awesome bar, best in Vienna, superb staff especially James, Anna, Leo, Stratos, Daniel, Colin and all the others who’s name I have forgotten. Great music and atmosphere, brilliant karaoke. Great fun, we ended up there every night!!

Nice place, for students and people willing to pay less for drinks. Employees are kind except one wise-uss barista. Be careful if some mid east guys act warm to you, dont drink too much to lose conscious.

It is cheap, nice staff, good drinks, and the music is perfect. At this bar you can make Karaoke, play pool, watch sports, eat, and off course, drink!!! The pizza wasn't that good, but 6 € / liter beer is worth to go there!

Went here two nights in a row and had great nights both times, Happy hour is very good value for drinks. Jason behind the bar is great and ensured we all had a great night! always a good atmosphere, would recommend to anyone

The place is ok for students or low level. people are there for hunting girls and girls come for free drinks nothing else. But both don't get anything. Guys don't offer drinks to girls and girls don't offer anything to guys hehheheh jejejjejajjaa.

It's a cool place (if that's your kinda hangout) :) not mine personally, but looked like you can have a lot of fun if you're up for loads of drinking for a small buck. Nothing fancy.
The interior was kinda-rundown-funky, like a student's type of bar place. Really cheap drinks, staff seemed friendly and helpful. All in all - nice place.

why you dont let turists go inside have a beer?
why only a student is allowed to go in there
i walked 3.5 km to come ther to have a beer and i was not allowed to go inside because i didnt have a students card.
