In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

Attention, the price you pay it’s not the final price and I’m sure this is not legal. When you go to the dinner show you know that you’ve to buy the drinks. What you don’t know is that they oblige - it’s mandatory- for you to put the coats in the cloakroom and at the end when you’ll grab them you have to pay 1,5 euro for each coat. A part from that the show, the musicians, dancers and singers were pretty good.

Sept 2008.
It was a good show, good food in a lovely building.........but beware - all extras are very expensive i.e. welcome drink, water, wine and the end of meal coffee (which we thought was complimentary but was 4 euros 60 and only half a cup). Its obviously a money maker, but despite that an enjoyable evening.

We have spent a wonderful evening in the restaurant. The food was very good, and it was accompanied by a selection of most famous excerpts of Wien music.
Highly advised for those who love operetta!
It was really worth the money.
The advertising they have on the website does not really show how nice it is.

This place is a complete tourist trap. They offer a dinner and show for 55 euro. We paid for the dinner and show. The overall experience was very unpleasant. We were offered juice and water throughout the show. There was no mention of any extra fee for the drinks. At the end of the show we received an unpleasant surprise. We were asked to pay a big tab for the drinks. This is not mentioned anywhere in the brochure or by the receptionist and there is no drink menu to tell you the prices. This is a complete scam. Don't go!

This was a great evening's entertainment, with lovely Austrian food, marred only by being ripped off. Don't get me wrong, we can thoroughly recommend it for a great night out,but we were ripped off. We expected to pay an extra percentage over the top,so when we were in the process of sitting down for evening and were offer?ed drinks, we plumped for the 'safe' Merlot. It was a palatable House-Red,but not worth the 40 Euros we soon discovered on the menu that we weren't offered before choosing! We would have gladly given this 5 stars, but the Wine experience tainted the evening. Well done to the Musicians, Singers, and Dancers, they threw everything into their performance!

With friends from The USA I attended the Austrian Dinner Show at the town hall restaurant in Vienna. I was afraid that this might be a very toursity event but was positively surprised. The service staff ist very friendly, the food was good and the show was very nice. One would expect to see maybe 2nd class singers and dancers but all of them were very professional and really good. The price of EUR 58 includes a three course meal and the show and is absolutely adequate. The drinks have to be paid extra and are a bit too expensive. All in all a nice evening and recommendable.

Pre purchased tickets online before leaving home and used confirmation print out to get in. We thought it was good value (58 euro) for the three course meal and music, dance and singing. The food was quite good and the entertainers very good. It was set in a quaint room in the basement of the Rathaus (city hall) in the centre of the old town which was walking distance from our hotel. We got there at 7:30 pm with the show and first course beginning at 8 pm. It ended at 10 pm which made for a nice evening out while enjoying the culture of Vienna. Since we were only two they sat us at a table for 2. I would have preferred to sit with fellow tourists but for most they would be happy with this arrangement.

We purchased our tickets for the Austrian Dinner Show many months ago, so were not part of a formal tour. The seats we were given were very good (try to arrive early), with a clear view of the performers. All of the performers were excellent, and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing, The individual performances (music, singing and dancing) were integrated into the meal servings, all of which was well organized. The food was quite good. and drink prices quite reasonable. A very enjoyable evening - highly recommended!

We.enjoyed the show and certainly the performers seemed to enjoy what they were doing. They provided good entertainment.
I felt that considering what we paid 62 euros each The amount of food was limited. Drinks were very expensive. 1 small beer, 2 small bottles of water,1coffee, 1 tea 32 euros. The event can seat about 150/200 customers, last Friday only 28 were there. perhaps this is a reflection of the price and lack of local publicity.

If you enjoy good singing and dancing from operettas coupled with a typically Austrian meal then this is the place to be. We thoroughly enjoyed singing a long to hits from White Horse Inn etc. Definitely recommend.
