The Ringstrassen Galerie does not contain shops which can compete with the shops in nearby Kaertnerstrasse, but is rather a nice passage - certainly when it's cold or raining (or very hot in summer) - when coming from the city park area and walking towards the city center. At the lowest level you'll find in one part a nice Interior... More

A neat urban mall with a variety of shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Look out for the restaurant Vienna Classic (separately reviewed), and Neuhaus for exquisite hot chocolate. There is also a large department store/supermarket downstairs with an excellent deli counter.

Our walk guided us to this tweens mall tha don't have many quality shops and they are not cheap at all..... The only store that gave me some pleasure was on the second floor of one of the malls that had great toys!! But it was too expensive to bother....

Went here to just have a look around and noticed most of the clientelle were wearing expensive clothing or tuxedos and there I was, walking around in a football jersey and jeans. Got some evil looks from shop owners and other people in that place. So yeah, if you're not clad "properly", don't bother.

It's not the place to go for touristy souvenirs, but it's a very upscale urban mall in the heart of the city. The complex is actually quite large. There are 2 buildings separated by a glass walkway. I would shop here once a week if I lived in Vienna. It's also very convenient for those who are staying at the... More

We recently visited Vienna and decided to check out the Ringstrassen Galleries to see what the indoor shopping experience was like in the city center. Overall, it was ok but we much preferred the outdoor, street side shops that lined the beautiful streets of Vienna. Basically an indoor shopping mall or complex with a decent range of shops, couple of... More

We were pleasantly surprised when visiting this fleamarket with the quality of display , the overall atmospere of the 2 sections , and the quality of treasures. We perused together both halls then went for coffee and breakfast . Then after we targeted our tastes in collectibles from fine porcellan , old jewelry , paintings and prints and surprisingly fossils... More

Nothing to see or buy. Poor selection of stores. No significant restaurants or cafe. I was totally disappointed with this shopping.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
