This gorgeous building can be viewed from the road. If you take a horse drawn carriage or the ring road tram you will be able to view most of the beautiful buildings as they all along the road.

It's a bit dirty on its outside. Worth a look in passing but compared to thecwealth of baroque and cleaner buildings in Vienna, not worth a longer time. We didn't go inside, so can't confirm other reviews saying it's nothing special inside.

Very impressive building. There is no entrance fee and we leisurely walked all around. Very impressive rooms still used today for state and private functions. The front of the building is having restoration.

Unfortunately there was construction of something going on so we didn't get to see this up close. Pretty sad to be in Vienna and not be able to see some of the nicer and older buildings.

Amazing that the RATHAUS opens its doors for the charity event LIFEBALL. Shows you how open minded & appreciative of the art & artists Vienna is!! This would never happen in the States!

This breathtaking building is one of the most impressive places in Vienna. Don't miss it! If yo are lucky, you will see this place been illuminated beautifully during the evenings. Also, you can ice-skate during the winter just in front it.

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards
Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks
such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera),
Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral)
and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’
former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as
Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse
and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The
