The staff was very kind and helpful. This was our first time in an escape room so we needed some help and the "game-master" made sure to give us tips but not ruin the experience for us. We really enjoyed it and already payed for the next time we will visit -soon. :)

Our friend from Vienna, her two kids, and us three Americans went Friday October 12th to the "Exit the Room" event. She wanted to surprise us. The Austrian game room employee, a standoffish guy in his 20s, greeted us with his feet up on the desk. When he finally got up he refused to translate anything in English, saying that our friend should do that. During the experience we had to use the walkie-talkie for a hint. The guide took a long time to answer and then passive aggressively scolded us for being impatient. The experience would have been great if we had a decent guide like my friend had in her previous experience. I don't think she will be back.

We went with a big group of kids and tried all the rooms at the same time. It was completely unfair to let us book this place in the first place because we were with kids only and explicitly asked if it is suitable for their age. Three exit the room in Vienna were honest with us and turned us down, but here it was supposed to be fine. Well, it was not. The zombie and madness rooms were not suitable for kids - in the first one they were completely scared and confused because according to the instructions they were not supposed to touch anything, the second was way to hard even for the 12 year old ones and it smelled like mould quite a lot. The bomb was quite cool though. So in the end we paid for three and only one group had fun. I heard that madness was also cool for the grown ups, but overall I was left disappointed because of dishonesty.

I tried the Zombie Escape Room and I must say I am quite disappointed. The staff was not helpful at all. There are some people in my group that was doing an Escape Room for the first time and the staff did not explain the basic rules! Also, in beginning we were told NOT to mess the room and keep locks close to where they were because the staff did NOT WANTED TO CLEAN UP. It would be “a lot of work” for them, they said… I have done a lot of Escapes Rooms and every time I was told to do the opposite, to open everything, see everything and have fun!!! This is not this company’s motto… The room itself is very limited. There are not big puzzles or riddles… Majority it’s just finding keys and open locks… And it’s very sequential, you could not do multiples things at once… meaning that only one person could actually be doing something while the others waited. I am very disappointed by the limited room and also the staff!!!

My brother-in-law set up this activity while we were visiting in Vienna over the holidays. Only one of us in the group of 6 had ever done this type of activity. It helped that we had someone with experience, however the rest of us are "out of the box" thinkers and worked well together. It was challenging and fun and we were only a few seconds off the best time. We would definitely do this again (they have multiple scenarios) and look forward to finding some in the states for a possible team building exercise for work.
