This was the first thing my wife and I did for our honeymoon in Vienna and it was the perfect start to our holiday. The guide, Julia, was delightful and explained easily how the cameras worked and how to take a good polaroid photo. The tour takes you through several key attractions in Vienna and you are given suggestions for places and shots that will make a good photo. You only get 8 photographs (although extra packs of film are available to buy) but I found that this just makes you choose your shots more carefully and you are welcome to use your normal cameras/phones to take pictures alongside the polaroids.

Nice idea, but I was expecting more tips for the photography. The guide was nice, but that’s it, i had the feeling that we walk a lot, but not much more.

Julia was excellent guide pointing out unique sites and how we could shoot pictures. This was recommended by our daughter who did the tour in 2017. They provide a brochure about the sites you visit

We have done many guided tours in out life and this is by far, the worst! Our guide Julia was young and sweet but very soft spoken that it’s almost impossible to hear her from 5 feet away. She showed us how to use the polaroid camera and each of us was given a cartridge good for 10 photos. The itinerary was poorly planned. We walked (felt like aimlessly) around Vienna neighborhoods that have no originality or interesting stories. The pace was deadly slow and unfortunately our guide was not able to answer many Vienna history questions, as she wasn’t “certified tour guide,” she claimed. The only place we visited that was worth any pictures taken was under-the-bridge graffiti area. There weren’t anything educational or inspiring that we learned on this tour. We ended the tour early and didn’t use all the films allowed. We wouldn’t recommend this tour at all, whatever you’re looking for in a tour!

Dear Gigi, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to hear that the experience of joining one of our tours did not meet your expectations. We offer a photography tour where its attendees learn how to use a vintage Polaroid camera from one of our local guides along with some background information about the turbulent history of instant photography. We communicate that this is a tour that is focusing on experiencing the city through the lens of one of our Polaroid cameras and not a classic sightseeing tour. Hence the lack of “information”. This experience needs an active participation and interest in photography. We think that it gets better the more engaged you are with your surroundings. Apparently you were looking for a more classic walking tour. I am sorry that you have booked this tour and expected it to be something it's not. Best regards, Thomas
