What an amazing experience. Though I have been to several orchestra experiences and operas, I really wanted to experience this one in Vienna, one of the major music centres of the world. My other half had not experienced opera but was interested to see what the experience would bring. He was not disappointed! The orchestra and opera singers gave a... More

I went to see a symphonic concert at this venue because I heard that Beethoven debuted his first symphony here in 1800. Unfortunately the original venue was lost to fire, but the reconstructed venue is quite nice though. I found the orchestra to be excellent. The solo vocalists were excellent too. They put on a good show. It should be... More

One of the highlight attractions on our 14 day Viking cruise was a concert in the Hofburg Castle in Vienna. We have never been to a concert with a full Orchestra before. The 1st half hour was dedicated to Mozart . It had lot , s of opera singing with the music--not my liking. The last hour was some of... More

We watched the concert held at the Hofburg in the evenings and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! For those who are not acquainted with classical music, the orchestra also played familiar tunes such as Blue Danube waltz and Radetsky march, with very charming touches of humour from the conductor and the orchestra members. Acoustics in the hall (Redoutsaal) were great. We purchased... More

As a tourist, I want to learn the classic music culture in Vienna. There is no better place than listening Strauss and Mozart in the beautiful Hofburg Palace at night. I was expected an uptight Vienna Hofburg Orchestra, but the energetic performance and light humor eased me. The concert was the first step to introduce Vienna to my visit.

A fabulous way to start the New Year's Eve celebration starting at 6.30. Only disappointment was that it was too short

My mom and I bought category A tickets for this concert. The lady at the tourist office told us the doors opened at 20:00, so we were planning to get there around 19:45. By chance, we were in the area early and decided to do a reconnaissance around 18:45. We're really grateful we did as the doors open at 19:00... More

I loved this concert! I wasn't sure what to expect but it was absolutely wonderful. The setting is beautiful and the music is some of the best I've ever heard performed live. I was amazed at the quality of this performance. Thoroughly enjoyed!
