I appreciate to live nearby. Since my early childhood I am visiting this beautiful and large park. This place is lovely. With tables for boardgames, children’s playgrounds. Basketball and Volleyball places. Fontaine’s and a restaurant which worth visiting as you can also sit outside inside with nice food!

In this park you will surely don't meet crowds of turists which is the first advantage of its. The second and more important is its beauty and variability. Simply you will walk along ponds, waterfalls, meadows, rocks, rows of flowers or sculptures all the time. You will find a a romatic place every hundred of steps.
Though the park is not really big it will take time to reveal where are its borders. And since it is quite hilly it makes an impression that it is a lot bigger. Of course, you may sit on lots of benches, so you will not get into troubles if you feel tired. Hence, don't miss it.

The Türkenschanzpark is Vienna's best park. In a city blessed with outstanding green spaces, the Türkenschanzpark is the pick of the bunch. It is located in the residential 18th district of Vienna so is off the radar of most visitors to Vienna. Fortunately for those of us in the know, there is more than enough space to enjoy this great place. The easiest way to get there from the centre of town is a tram from Schottentor.
Inevitably the Türkenschanzpark has plenty of greenery. It has plenty of well-kept short grass suitable for playing or a picnic. There are also a couple of bodies of water including some really well designed fountains.
The large Kinderspielplatz is innovative. It has different shapes for children to clamber over including a couple of fire service themed toys. A separate sand pit fort offers an alternative for children of most ages.
Dogs are well served by a large Hundezone.
Runners are a very common sight. A lovely route to run around the park.
A cafe in the centre of the park is open pretty much all year round including when the water has frozen over and the ground has turned from green to white.
The vibe in the park is excellent. Perhaps that's because it is not too busy, is family-friendly, and perhaps not exciting enough for teenagers.
Some of the scenery and landscaped visages are breathtaking. The framing of the view from the bridge across the lakes is just outstanding as if constructed by an artist. This is a place with abundant beauty.
The view from the top of the Paulinenwarte is not as impressive as the imagination might construct. The buliding itself is a bit of an eyesore in such a great place and the view doesn't really justify the building's existence.
This great park would stand out even in Vienna just on its own merits but the natural and the designed combine with historical importance to make this the best of the best. As of this review, the Türkenschanzpark is 125 years old having celebrated that landmark with a fantastic fete. It was originally opened by Emperor Franz Josef.
The place the park sits on is etched into European history, being part of the camp for the Ottoman siege that ultimately resulted in an epoch-making turning point with the Ottomen being turned back. A nice statue helps commemorate this in the form of a Cossack and his horse. A beautiful modern statue recognising the history of this place and fitting in perfectly to the most impressive open space in a city that does open spaces as well as anywhere.

Gorgeous walking paths and ample spots to lounge in the shade or sun. Yummy restaurant, meierei diglas, inside the park is perfect for a light meal or cup of coffee! Separate dog parks.

One of the largest parks in Vienna, Turkenschanz has something for everyone. We visit for the playgrounds, ping pong tables, restaurant, and (small) Christmas market. Others come to run, ride bikes and skateboards, go to the dog runs, walk the winding paths, have picnics, sunbathe, and sled in winter. It's lovely year round and easy to get to via public (41 tram, 40A bus, or 10A bus).

Big beautiful park with several different playgrounds with different features: one is better for little kids, but also has loads for bigger kids to do, too. Another is more for the big kids and has a skate park. There are fountains and hills and benches and loads of different areas to lounge and play. Even has a super-delish restaurant in the middle where you can grab a coffee to go, or get schnitzel and beer (Mayerei)!

You need to see this nice and huge park in the 18th district of Vienna. You find more playgrounds here, a restaurant (Restaurant Mayer) and there are a lot of possibilities for sports (basketball, volleyball, table-tennis, skateboarding etc.).

This park is in a very nice area of Vienna, it is large with different areas, playgrounds, a restaurant, football area, etc...
It is a nice park in all seasons. This time, the Christmas markets was the highlight.
Not very busy but still traditionally Austrian, cute stands, nice food and mulled wine.
Enjoyed!

My trip date doesn't actually match the time I was there, as that was back in 2009 when I was stationed at the US Embassy. The Marine house was a short walk away, and I would often jog in this park with my fellow Marines. It's an astoundingly beautiful place, and hands down blows all the other parks in the city out of the water in regards to beauty and atmosphere. I moved back to Vienna for 5 years after serving, and had visited most of the parks in the city, and none really can compare. It's a must see for nature lovers visiting.
