It’s near Stephen. There is less information about it, but at the moment there are concerts in this building. The building has amazing acoustics! Tickets are not very expensive, if you want to listen to the music - 30-40 euros. Must-see!

When going down the Graben towards the Stephanplatz if sight is turned to the left hand side one can't avoid being startled by the marvelous character of that church, a jewel of baroque art whose design was inspired by the St. Peter's Basilica of the Vatican. It is not a very large building peprhaps because of the fact that the... More

This church is located in the middle of the shopping part of the city. I had the opportunity to listen to a organ concert in the church, which is a very unique experience

Very beautiful church. There are free organ concerts in this church, not sure how to find information about them online. Best of all, stop by the church early in your trip and check the concert schedule. There was no problem with the seats in January, but in season you will need to arrive early.

Don't be put off by the exterior, go Inside the Church it is really magnicent, beautifully decorated with marble and gold, but not at all austere.

Amazing views all around this area. A little crowded but worthwhile. We were warned of pickpockets in the area but felt safe.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
