This magnificent church is also in central Vienna very near Saint Stephen's Cathedral. It may not be as famous but it is as beautiful and possibly more beautiful. It was possibly the earliest church in Vienna and was designed to be like St. Peter's in...More

Located right in the centre of Vienna, this richly decorated church deserves to be more in the limelight...beautiful example of Baroque design

This interior & exterior are quite well done. If you not seen many baroque churches, I recommend this one. If you have been to several, this will be a similar idea.

It has an amazing architecture. But the highlight of this church is the free organ concert at 3PM. Come early to get good seats. It's an awesome experience.

Small but a beautiful church. Naturally, there is a mass on Sunday, so try to visit on weekdays. They will not let you in during the mass. Free to go in, and there is no Hop Off/On bus on Sunday at this stop.

Worth a visit if you're in Vienna city centre. We did a walking tour and much of the emphasis seemed to be on St Stephens Cathedral (the gothic looking church) but actually this was much more impressive.

St Peter's is supposed to be the most extravagant baroque church in Vienna. So its full of sumptuous, over the top carvings and decoration. Good violin quartets in the crypt on summer evenings!

One of the most beautiful interiors I have ever seen! The marble, gold, and art inside this small church is mind-blowing. A must visit in Vienna

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards
Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks
such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera),
Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral)
and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’
former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as
Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse
and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The

When we were there (an early evening, around 18:00) it was just the organ, no other musical instruments, and a chorus. It was wonderful !
