This place is cool for a romantic date. On one side of the floor is a restaurant with very nice food and quiet for talking. During later night when you want to have a different atmosphere - on the other side is the bar with louder music, lights, drinks..

The place looks quite nice and at first glance the staff seems trustworthy. But if you decide to go (I disadvise!) check very carefully your bill

I have previously reviewed this bar (Oct. 2015) but renew my recommendation because it is the bar I have mentioned in connection with my review of the Cathedral as being the best place (maybe only place) open to the public to get a clear and high view of the Cathedral.

This is not a "sky bar". This is only a bar with outdoor seating on the 7th floor of a department store. A bit confusing to get to it. You must take the elevator on the street to the 6th floor, and then another one floor up to the restaurant/bar. Immediately we were told the restaurant was for a "exclusive... More

We actually went to this bar a few times - the drink was slightly more expensive than other places but the ambience and views more than made up for the additional cost. Sit and have a cold drink and take in the beauty of the cathedral roof. Well worth a drink.

It was recommended by the local guide as offering great views. I was not lucky to have a seat outside, so the view was good but not great. You still see quite a lot of St Stephan's Cathedral. The choice of food was very good, including meat, fish and salads. I had a green salad with chicken and some great... More

View isn't that great at night as all you can see is the reflection of the bar in the windows. Cocktails weren't that strong. Worst of all was people are allowed to smoke in there so it smelt of cigarette smoke. Left after one drink.

The bar was really nice with great view. The cocktails were delicious and the music was really nice. Good place to enjoy the evening with a couple or friends.

We received good service here. The waitress informed us that cocktails were not available until the evening - disappointing news - but she was helpful with her suggestions and service was prompt. The view isn't that great as the bar is surrounded by rooftops rather than an open vista. It was a good little sunspot and a relaxing way to... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
