In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

We enjoyed a fabulous string quartet concert one evening at St Anna's Church. The church itself is tucked away off the main track but it is absolutely stunning inside. It was the most magical evening and a definite highlight of our trip.

My wife and I attended the classical concert here. Let me say that it was incredible, better than the one we attended in Salzburg. However, it was made more special by the ambiance of this incredibly quaint church. This modest and cozy parish church is perfect for concerts with great accustics and intimate seating capacity. We sat in the back row, yet felt we were at the front. However, the magic was the art and Baroque design of the church that provided visual beauty as you listened. My only complaint was the pews; however, that is why I liked the back so I could stand up. It is a beautiful church that was made for music.

Stunning venue excellent music. Very enjoyable evening. Long enough to get a taste of Vienna and short enough if you are not a big music buff.

One of many beautiful and breath taking churches in Vienna. The fresco of the celling is magnificent
That baroque church is in the center of the city and the entrance is for free. Definitely worth visiting.

A friend and I thoroughly enjoyed an evening of classical music at St. Anna's church. We were warmly welcomed by church volunteers and locals attending the outstanding music. St. Anna's has an interesting history worth reading before you visit the church. We purchased our concert tickets in advance which was a good thing as it was sold out. I highly recommend St. Anna's to get just off the beaten path to see an important churchand to enjoy good music.

Ornate as most catholic churches are and not as interesting as St Stephen's but worth a visit if you are walking past it.

This is beautiful church, situated in a small street in the city center. Very often you can listen concerts here, and mostly for free.

We went to this church to hear a classical music performance. We heard music by Mozart, Frank Schubert and Beethoven. I really enjoyed Schubert, but all of the music was wonderful.

The quartet of musicians was wonderful and it was fun to watch their hands and their faces (the emotions) as they played. The quartet consisted of Maximilian Bratt on the violin, Gloria Ternes on violin, Axel Kircher on the viola and Konstantinos Zelenin on the violoncello.

The church was very beautiful, but be aware that the pew seating is not very comfortable. Hard wood and very short or shallow in the leg are (from your rump to the knee area). I am only 5 foot 6 and found it was too short for me to be comfortable, but they also had banquet type chairs to the side for overflow, so even though we got there early (about 20 minutes), we overflowed ourselves into two of the chairs immediately.

Small church tucked away from the crowds. Beautiful interior and they have classical concerts at night which are delightful.
