We booked a Jewish heritage group tour with Katharina of "guides 4 you". We met at the Singer book store where we met Katharina and the rest of the group. We learnt a lot about the history of Jewish life in Austria Vienna in the pre second world war years and lots of memorials and places of interest. Our tour was at 15:00 and we are were very cleverly advised to attend the 14:00 tour of the Vienna Synagogue around the corner at Seitenstettengasse 4, 1010 Wien, Austria. This tour is also highly recommended as it gives a different perspective of the life of Jews pre war in Austria. Katharina@guides4you.at

We normally let serendipity be our guide. But, sometimes you need a seasoned tour guide. We only had two days to see the highlights of Vienna. Stephan’s two day tour was perfect. Each day, he picked us up at our river boat and gave us an interesting and informative walking tour. In two days we saw most of the highlights while listening to Stephan’s clear, articulate and often times funny narrative. From the National Library to Schonbrunn Palace, Stephan made our time in Vienna memorable. Helpful Hint: We were in a large group which came with some limitations (time, size, pace). I understand Stephan also does smaller groups. We will try to book a smaller group on our next visit to Vienna.

I booked two group tours with Bettina on the subject of the Art Nouveau in Vienna in January 2018. Bettina is extremely knowledgeable and she brings tremendous insight to the tours. Her pleasant, professional and courteous manner makes all guests feel welcome and comfortable. We visited the Otto Wagner Kirche am Steinhof with Bettina, as she is one of the few guides in Vienna with access to this venue for a private tour. The Kirche am Steinhof is an amazing and awe-inspiring place to visit. Words fall short of describing the experience of making a visit here. It is a prime example of the essence of Art Nouveau, where the art and design is completely holistic and present in all aspects of visual and practical design. Our tour also returned to the center city for a walking tour of key examples of Art Nouveau architecture. Again, Bettina's extensive knowledge made this a memorable experience for all of our guests. I do not hesitate for a minute in recommending Bettina for individual or group tours. She is a fantastic guide and it is a pleasure to spend the day with her!

Walter came highly recommended and he didn't disappoint. We booked a four hour walking tour and on the as appointed morning it was snowing. Walter was more than happy to reschedule and we ended up with a sunny day a few days later! We were interested in a tour focused on Jewish history in Vienna. We walked all over the first district and visited many interesting sites that we would have never seen on our own. Walter is a professionally licensed tour guide, is very pleasant and has a great knowledge of the facts and history, with a good sense of humor thrown in! I don't think you can go wrong here.

many nice places in this city. you can walk on your own to visit them easily. alternatively, you may take "hop on hop off" bus for two days and will be able to visit those further away from city centre.
