A lovely old Ferris wheel on the edge of the fun fair. Reasonably priced at €12 per adult and takes about 30 mins from buying the ticket to walking out of the souvenir shop. Good views across the wider city but a bit far to...More

Really enjoyed this experience. Carriages are very smart, clean and comfortable with little rocking during movement. Plenty of opportunities to take good photo's and inside there is a marked sky-line map pointing out major landmarks. It is a bit of a walk to get there...More

A fun place to visit, especially if you have kids. The ferris wheel overlooks the beautiful city of Vienna. There's even a Madame Tussauds Museum and a Chocolate Museum.

We were exploring Vienna in December which meant the Park was very quiet. The ride was in interesting roomy cabins that allowed people to sit in the middle. It was a slow ride so gave plenty of chances to take photos. Certainly recommend a ride.

We enjoyed the ride on the Riesenrad. Take the U-Bahn to Praterstern and then it is just a few steps over the street to the Riesenrad. About a 10-minutes ride giving a nice overview of Vienna.

Fun viewing point in Vienna! We did it during the day but it is probably as lovely during night time. As we pre-booked our tickets, we did not wait at all. It takes less than half an hour in total and the cost of a...More

Wiener Riesenrad is an old landmark, one of the symbols of Vienna located in the beautiful Prater Park. It is fairly easy to get there from anywhere in Vienna thanks to the really great metro lines. There are several different rides (we took the regular...More

We did ride the Giant wheel during the day but came back later in the evening for a pre-booked romantic dinner on the Ferris wheel. While it may have been a bit expensive, this was for my husband's 50th birthday so we chose to have...More

Once the sun goes down what you see in the short distance from the Riesenrad is mostly the lights of the fun fair around the wheel. Beyond the city is well lit. But I wouldn't say it's the most spectacular view night or day.
