Smokey, not a great liquor selection, not a great beer selection. Just wasn't great. Maybe it is better at night, we stopped for a drink at 5:00pm and I just was not impressed.

We arrive kind of late but the staff was gentle enough to serve us a couple of beers even if they were almost closing. The place is nice and the atmosphere is peculiar. Definitely i will be back, price are average to low.

trip report (2 Replies)
Day 4: Took train into Vienna Vienna: Arrived at train station westbanhoff...the conductor told us to get off there but I had written down wein meidling and to take tram 62 so when we got off at that station, I couldn't find tram 62. Ended up taking the 6 and after a little confusion, switched to 62 and our hotel was a short walk away. It was another beautiful day. We Saw the opera house which actually had a movie showing outside. Checked into our hotel...Opera Suites. Great Location, nice...More

Thanks for your report. Generally it is easier to get to the centre from the Westbahnhof than Meidling which is probably why the conductor recommended it. Meidling is a temporary main station whilst the new Hauptbahnhof is being built, hence the lack of facilities. The smoke issue - couldn't agree with you more. Mystery of the missing ferry from Ios to mainland in June (5 Replies)
Hi, anyone wiser than me on greek ferries? Im trying to plan my weeks trip to Ios at the end of May half term. - . have looked at several recommended ferry websites, but get the same story from all of them. Piraeus TO Ios on sunday 29th May NO PROB at all. Ferry back the sunday after, 5th June - BIG PROB. Apparently there are NONE, none the day before or the day after come to that. None to Paros either. - first ferry showing to leave Ios is not until Tues June 7th. IS THIS LIKELY??? Is...More

Hi, The 'apparent' lack of ferries is due to the Bluestar ferries dropping the Ios stop. Thus if you look too early at websites there are 'no ferries' however I have been going occasionally for around 30 years and you can be sure there is a ferry to Piraeus on that Sunday. All you do is look at the blackboard in the Ios Port ticket agency all the ferries are listed for every day of the week. That's it job done in 30 Secs. A guesstimate would be: 09:30 Ag.Georgios, cheap, best timing and...More
