For a very long time this place was a home of the Mona Lisa of Austria, Der Kuss from Gustav Klimt. Still this place has a few others of his work. Surrounding gardens are very nice

Well worth seeing but find a time of day or year when the crowds aren't too bad. I went right as they opened and it was already getting crowded by the time I got out.

We went to the museum principly to see the kiss by klimpt. But there was much more to see than just that. The grounds are lovely to walk around and it's easy to forget you are in a city. There is a restaurant on site as well as a souvenir shop were you can by almost anything with klimpt on... More

The upper and lower palaces are a wonderful site and the grounds including the cascading fountains between the two palabces are a site not to be missed. Ticket options are quite varied and do your research on what interests you beforehand so you make the right choise and don't waste money. We chose to visit the exhibition in the lower... More

Pay admission to see the famous 'Kiss' painting. There isn't much else. If you don't care to see that just skip museum and walk the grounds. Oh and they won't let you take any photos of that painting either only by an imitation in the next room.

A lovely gallery and a manageable size. The highlights were the Schiele and Klimpt but there were other romantic and realistic works David's Napoleon at the St Gotthard and Messerschmitt's caracatures). Away from the centre but wort it. I only visited the Upper Belvedere.

The grounds are lovely and the artwork on display is very interesting. Don't skip this stop. Took me a little while to find the entrance from mass transit but it was worth it. Crowd was less than I'd expected given it was Saturday in August, though there were still plenty of people it wasn't so bad. Lovely interiors and you... More

Belvedere Palace was a delight. It was adjacent to our hotel so everyday we walked through all the gardens. There was lovely restaurants and plenty of seating areas. We did not visit the museum itself but enjoyed the water features in the many gardens.
