The special thing about our Krimi-Trail Wien Alsergrund is that it can be played at any time and without prior notice. This means that you can start the trail with the crime files you received immediately or in a few days / weeks. If you want to take a break in the game, you can take it for as long as you want - even a day's break is not a problem.

My 14 year old son and I attended a performance tonight of the Vienna Philharmonic. We had read if the orchestra's unique sound coming from the fact the instruments belong to the orchestra and not the musicians and that some are made very specially as they have been for many years. We heard Brahms and Widener (flute suite), and it was truly amazing. The sound, the architecture, the audience were all wonderful. We were a little worried about dress, as we had at best business casual, but it was fine. Most attendees were dressed formally but enough were not that it was ok. As usual in Europe, my son's ticket was half price, which was super. This was a once in a lifetime sound experience, and we are very glad we did it.

We attended a concert by the Philharmonic orchestra at the Konzerthaus (instead of the Musikverein). The orchestra was conducted by Chris Eschenbach and performed Haydn, Mozart and Beethovan pieces. This was our first orchestra so can't compare with any other. In absolute terms it was entertaining but I not something that I'd listen to every weekend. We do love a bit of classical music, but have realized that we prefer the faster pieces. So next time need to do a bit more homework before picking a concert. Nonetheless, its worthy of the 2 hours of entertainment, especially when you are in Vienna even if you aren't a fan of classical music.
