The KAISERBRÜNDL For CENTURIES THE KAISERBRÜNDL has been regarded as the most distinguished and elegant bathing establishment in Vienna. The entrance leads into a friendly restaurant, which is open to dressed visitors free of charge, independent of the uninterrupted activities in the sauna. It has become a regular meeting place for good food and drinks already early in the afternoon. From there, you can enter one of the probably most beautiful and unique sauna for men in the world: three floors offer fitness, sauna, bio-sauna, steam bath, massage, frescobar, videos and much more. In the centre between Kärntner Straße (St. Stephens, U1, U3) and Parkring (Stadtpark, Hotel Marriott). Street entrance (on the right, green door)

Please do not listen to the negative reviews, we almost did and are very glad we didn't. It's a huge and well maintained complex. Probably the best sauna we have ever been too, on par or better than Berlin and Paris. Wish the pool was heated and that it was busier, but the architecture and history are worth a visit... More

Yes the Kaiserbruendl is a bit hard to enter (but just push the buzzer t the front door) but not obscure--I had read reports saying that one had to go in by the gift shop etc. And. I had read reviews saying that the staff were unfriendly etc. that was not my experience at all. I went in late afternoon... More

I had a great visit here yesterday - definitely recommended. Went at around 5pm and stayed for two hours. Easy to get lost, but that is a lot of the fun. Good atmosphere and what surprised me the most, given that it was middle of the week, early evening, is that it was very busy. All ages, but mainly younger... More

This old-fashioned bath house is camper than a row of tents, but once you find your way there, it is fun to get lost inside with the strange locker system, arches and labyrinthine layout. The 'meals' seem to be all mince- based but there was a good selection of beers there too. I went on a Friday around 8pm, it... More

I've been here twice since November 2014 and never get tired of going back. The entry fee (20 Euros) may seem steep, but I think it's reasonable. On my first visit, the attendant showed me how to work the locker system. It's not difficult - just not what most people are used to. There are several floors, and it's easy... More

the place is nice, visited from many men... There are 2 sauna rooms and 1 steam room. The saunas are with different temperatures. There is also 1 pool with temperature about 20C - good for cooling down after the steam room. The place is relativly clean, but deffinitly not dirty as you can see in the reviews below. I recomend... Simply don't go there!!! it's really a dirty sauna and the price is really crazy!!! Water of the pool (cold) was like a grey colour. Bad smell everywhere. I don't reccomend this place to no one

I've read the history of the Kaiserbründl and was really looking forward to my visit. The enterance is a very discreet door but not too difficult to find. The public area is lovely. I wouldn't recommend paying for the "historic" cabins, they really aren't worth it. Get a regular locker. Upon entering the sauna, it appeared it needed a good... More

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
