A really informative experience with our tour guide Teddy. The Vienna UN building is next to the metro station so it is easy to get to. Lots of souvenirs available and interactive stuff for children. Obviously security is strict but necessary. A very spacious and clean area to look around. Thanks to our knowledgeable guide we came away with a better understanding of the history and purpose of the UN.

Getting to the UN in Vienna could not be easier ... just take the U-Bahn (Subway) to Kaisermuhlen/VIC station. The security check is no more than what is experienced at an airport and was really a non issue. There are no lockers or storage places for bags and coats. Our group was made up of quite a broad range of nationalities and our guide Katya (I think) was great at making sure everyone was included. The tour style was enthusiastic and interesting with pop-quiz questions being asked in a way that everyone engaged to try and answer. This was really a fun tour and interesting. Most of that was obviously down to have a really good guide. I have heard that all the guides are really good. The tour moved around the buildings at a nice pace leaving plenty of time for everyone to take some pictures (eg beside the wall of country flags or at the science exhibits). The guides knowledge and historical background information was clear and from the few questions I heard asked, proved there was more depth of information on tap where needed. So would I recommend it ... 100%. It was rainy morning in Vienna and this is a great way to use your time. There's interest for all the family and just getting to see the vastness of the campus and to be able to say you visited the United Nations in Vienna is very cool.

Highly recommend the guided tour for everyone interested in the work of the United Nations! Our guide not only explained the general facts of the UN but also a lot of information on the different agencies in Vienna (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, International Atomic Energy Agency etc). We were able to see the main buildings, conference rooms and different exhibits of the IAEA and the United Nations Office for Outer Space (including a moon rock loaned by NASA). She was very enthusiastic about the work of the UN and we got a great sense of the international work atmosphere! Thank you!
