This is a great spot for a photo opportunity and to remember Johann Strauss by during our visit to Vienna. Lots of tourist come here to take photos so just have to queue to wait for a turn if it gets busy. Lovely memory of...More

and while you are there... snap a picture with the famous Johann Strauss II. Stroll through the park to get away form the busy busy. You can also bring along some bread to feed the birds and fish.

During ouf visit to Stadtpark we stopped for a photo at the Strauss Monument, a fitting tribute to the king of the Viennese waltz, Johann Strauss. Gilded and sporting his violin, this monument is easily recognizable when visiting the park.

This Monument is one of the most photoraphed Monuments of the City . Because of Strauss the father of the Wiener Walzer but also because of a superstition thar freshly wed couples will be happy ever after
