A different kind of market with very authentic stuff. The setting is different, a number of narrow streets. Pity there were a lot of people so it was very difficult to see and buy.

Visited this market because it is smaller and more authentic than others in Vienna. Quite expensive but nice to wander around little cobbled streets with a cup of hot punch.

Definately the best of the Vienna Christmas Markets, it is set in little narrow picturesque lanes, not crowded like the big ones and you could get around OK

If you’d like to discover the amazing feeling of small art shops, coffee houses and old building that’s the ideal place. On the other X-Mas markets everything is concentrated on a single place /square (for example the Rathaus square/. Here the small streets are filled...More

Personally I find the Spittelberg Christmas market, the best one in Vienna: located in the city, just outside the center but within historic streets. Also, high quality stands, plus great shops on the street which add to the overall high quality impression. To get there,...More

You can only imagine how many similar markets one can find in Vienna during Christmas time. Still, this one is my favorite among them. Somehow it is less “touristy” and has a feel of old Vienna. The atmosphere is great, lot of nice stalls with...More

This is my favorite market amongst the many in Vienna. It's a different one as it extends over 3 little streets and it includes the shops that are there and open for this special time. There are a bit more locals hanging there, and it's...More

One of the most wonderful and home-feeling Christmas markets in Vienna. First time we've discovered it when visiting Vienna for the first time in 2011. That time we landed late and everything was closed so we decide to walk around within an area adjacent to...More

Usually there are less markets open after Christmas. But the main ones (Rathaus, Schönbrunn, Maria-Theresien) are still open until NYE and turn into New Year market with slightly different offerings vs. Advent time.
