I looked for a tour that will include all the major points in Vienna and will be "not to heavy" at the same time for a 15 people group from Israel. our Gide was TOM an amazing guy that lives in Vienna and had a good knowledge about the history of the city and also had a good sense of humor. he stopped when we asked a brake to worm up , and in the end took us to a whine seller . it was an amazing tour that left us with a taste of more !

An enjoyable walking tour with an extremely pleasant and knowledgeable guide. The small group made it easy to hear and ask questions. Particularly liked the ‘props’ which helped explain things in more detail. Highly recommended.

Wolfgang was very interesting and pointed out little known facts about Vienna. It is a great tour for history buffs, art & architecture fans, or just people who love fun facts. I highly recommend it!

This was sold as the Spy Tour, but the content was weak, nothing that couldn’t have happened in a conference room, or even online.

The first 30 mins of a 2 hour tour was dedicated to Vienna’s appearance in spy movies, construction info, and escaping the Sunday bells of St. Karls church. Sigh.

The actual walking part was not helpful to telling the spy stories. A real sin in a city that was known as the spy capital. Very disappointing.

The highlight was the guide Kathrin, she’s clearly a professional with a love for her city and a history degree to back it up. Her English skills are more than up for the task.

In summary - this tour needs modifications in content and especially the walking route. I can’t recommend it, but will look for other tours by this guide and this company. “Secret Vienna” is a great concept that differentiates it from other tour companies in the city, and the guide is a jewel.

We really enjoyed our tour with Wolfgang! He took us to all the major points in Vienna and had extremely good knowledge about the history of Vienna. He also had a good sense of humour, was open to answering questions and his English was fantastic. Throughout the tour, Wolfgang suggested cafés, museums and tours — we wish we had more time in Vienna so that we could see them all! At the end of the tour, we asked for a good lunch place and he even walked us to a local restaurant. I highly recommend this tour, especially if it is your first time in Vienna and you are looking for a locals recommendations!

We had am amazing tour by really fantastic, smart and interesting company manager - Sagy. The tour itself was fascinating, we were just hypnotized by high level of lecturing and huge knowledge base of Sagy!
You could easily see how much Sagy loves what he is doing and how much he loves Vienna and Austria.
If there was a "double-excellent" rate, it would be still not enough to express how much fun we had!
We definitely recommend this tour, our trip to Vienna became much meaningful.
He also recommended many places to see in Austria and we will visit there for sure!
Thanks a lot for wonderful 2 hours in cold December evening in Vienna which turn out to be very warm :-)

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience with Secret Vienna. It was a pleasure both for me and for our guide to meet you and show you Vienna. In order to clarify for other visitors to not confuse, the meeting with me (Sagi the owner) was before the tour with our guide, when we discussed the depth of Vienna's history and the passion we have for this city. The great reviews and experiences that we offer are thanks to a team of 16 dedicated guides who work hard to offer unforgettable experiences. We try to keep everything from the registration process, to the meeting at the meeting point to the tour itself and the follow-up after to be as personal and warm as possible. We hope to see you again in future tours and wish you to always keep exploring! Kind regards, Sagi Z.

I missed the start of the tour as I’d somehow put the wrong destination into Google maps so walked for half an hour in the opposite direction, however, it was very easy to contact the company, and the guide, so was able to catch up with the group. It was very useful to have a phone and to be able to make calls otherwise I would have missed it.

The guide, Tatjana, was excellent. She was able to give very clear descriptions and explanations of the historical context. She had a folder with some maps etc which helpfully showed the extent of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the reach of the Hapsburgs as well as Austria post WW2. Prior to going to Vienna I hadn’t had time to read up on the history and didn’t have a guide book so going with a knowledgeable guide like Tatiana was really great. Had I just been walking around by myself I would have missed so much. I would have looked at things but not understood the significance of what I was seeing, such as the memorial to Christina in the Hapsburg church, with all its Masonic symbolism, or the reason why there are Spanish horses in Vienna, or Sissi’s story, or the location of Hitler’s address to the Austrian people and the significance of that, the origin of Sacher torte and the symbolism of the sculptures on the memorial to plague victims

Very interesting tour, I highly recommend it.
