I really like that upon entering Ganz Wien you are greeted by the smell of wood (!) rather than stale smoke. I really appreciate the latter as it is rare to go out in Vienna and return home without smelling like a cured ham or worse...Music is non-intrusive and allows you to have a conversation and I like their choice of fairly priced spritzers, such as the rhubarb spritz. Yes, there is no service upstairs, but I did not mind at all and overall find the atmosphere very cosy in a hipster-bar-meets-ski-chalet kind of way. The toilets are located in the basement where there seems to be a function room that reminds me of a party room in a private house and you need to "fight" your way through dancing kids. Overall, a very nice bar that I will definitely visit again.…

First, I give them all my points for being a non-smoking bar, which is a gem difficult to find in Vienna these days. secondly, I like their design, its nice and cozy. thirdly, the location is super, very easy to access. However, what i absolutely didn't like is that there is no service upstairs and one has to pick up his/her own drinks from the bar downstairs, which given the stairs and how narrow and crowded it is, is a pain. I think they need to open at least a small bar also upstairs, otherwise I wont go there again knowing that getting a drink would be such a challenge. besides, at least upsiars is not proper for groups of more than 4 people.…
