This park is huge and is a great place to ride bike, go for a walk or just relax. The tree lined walkway make it a great place for hot summer days in Vienna. The park had plenty of benches and public transportation near by. We spent several hours here on a warm day . The park was very clean once you get away from the amusement park.

Gruner Prater is a large park area located adjacent to the wonderful Prater ( Vienna's most famous amusement park ) and is a beautiful park to just stroll around.
Kilometres of well kept park lands ,lots of paths ,I always enjoy visiting this park as it's just such a peaceful place to unwind in, great to escape the hustle and bustle of the city interesting features abound throughout the park and if you've consumed to much of the local Ottakringer or Gösser beer ( guilty ) the night before a great place to clear your head.
We were here on a beautiful and sunny Saturday early afternoon ,we just strolled through the park,having a good talk were my twin brother Stephen and I planned out the day ahead in this most beautiful of city's.
Well worth checking out if your in your planning a holiday to Vienna.

Enormous park which has two metro stations (Praterstern and Messe-Prate) as well as countless tram lines which run alongside it.
The theme park is next to Praterstern metro but to be honest that didn't interest me as I preferred strolling through miles & miles of greenery.
