    Great views.
Constructed back in the late 60s and located about 3 kms from the Cathedral, this concrete symbol provides an excellent viewing point for Vienna whilst the café two floors up does a good line in beers and cakes. Unfortunately, because it has been raining recently, the café wasn’t turning. We enjoyed the refreshments and the view.
Thanks for your visit and feedback.

    Breathtaking view 🩵
I highly recommend visiting the Danube Tower for those who love breathtaking views from above. We went during sunset, and the view was spectacular. However, we missed out on the restaurant as it closed early, around 19:00. I suggest going earlier, around 17:00, to enjoy a dinner with a view of the 360-degree rotating restaurant. Afterward, you can step outside and witness the stunning sunset from above. It's an experience you won't want to miss! 🌆😊 You should also try booking a place at the restaurant because it is famous and you won't find a place if you don’t reserve a table. Remember to order the table next to the window 😎
Thanks for your visit and feedback.

    Difficult to get to
This is a great place to get an overview of Vienna, as well as having a café and a great restaurant. However, it is incredibly impractical in terms of public transport, with the nearest underground stop 15-20 minutes walk away. In the dark it’s quite scary as some of the way is very poorly lit. Worst of all, there are no signs ( that we could see, having arrived one way and left by another) to the tower! I can’t understand why there’s no shuttle bus to the nearest station. The city authorities- usually very efficient - seem to have forgotten about this place, or don’t want visitors to go there…

    360 experience
Had coffee, cake and some drinks while we twirled around with a spectacular view. Service was great with large drinks and coffee. Our teenager found some great local non-alcoholic drinks. Company left with high spirits. Make sure you sit down and take the time for a twirl.
Thanks for your visit and feedback.

Incredible restaurant with amazing view
Feb 2020 • Couples
I was apprehensive about booking the restaurant as I could not find many reviews. But my god it did not disappoint. I wanted something special for my partner's birthday and saw on the website that they offered special romantic deals. I had booked the seventh heaven package which included 9 stem Rose's, a bottle of sparkling wine and table decorations.

The food was incredible.

The view of vienna was amazing and you could barely feel the tower turning.

Just ok

It's near the metro station and that's really helpful. They also provide free shuttle service to the metro station on the way back. The view is breathtaking really. The entrance fee is really overpriced just to go up and admire the view. Cafe has normal prices.

The Donauturm offers you a view of the Austrian capital from approximately 150m above the ground. The view is amazing and won’t cost you a fortune. Account for a bit of waiting time, since there are only 2 elevators available. If you are into it, you can also take advantage of the in-house restaurant or cafe, enjoying your meal with Vienna at your feet. Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation.

Located 20 minutes by walk from the U6 Alte Donau or the U1 Kaisermühlen metro stations, there is also a car park. There is an outdoor terrace at 150 metres, an indoor terrace one level upper, a cafè and on reservation a restaurant. Attraction to be done on sunny days. It is the highest observation point in Austria. Ticket is 16 € for adults.

So went on the off chance and got a nice surprise no queue. So admission is €18 for adults, but to be honest you won’t get any better views in Vienna than this. Lift zooms up in seconds which is really impressive. So they have viewing terraces at 150m and inside at 155m. But if you fancy dining you can also view from 170m. So in general worth a visit if you have some spare time in Vienna

Great views over the city
Mar 2020 • Couples
We caught the blue line hop on, hop off sightseeing bus to the tower. There were no queues as it’s not the tourist season. We had to do a whistle stop tour because we didn’t want to miss the bus back. We did go to the top restaurant, but the waiter didn’t come to us, so we abandoned the idea of a drink and a snack. The views are spectacular from the outside viewing platform. We used our Vienna passes for our visit.

Easy to get to (Ubahn themn bus or walk across the park). Doesn't open until 10am. Amazingly fast lift to the top. The views are amazing - but pick a nice clear day. And wear something warm - it's very windy up there.
