Using the city bikes is a practical way of transportation in Vienna. It also gives you a chance to create a romantic tour of the city.

Wien is perfectly prepared for bikes. You can go everywhere by bike. It is not just cheap (and it is) but also could be fastest than other vehicles, because of the traffic. There plenty of bike parks and the app is really good. I'd absolutely...More

These bikes are a simple, healthy and effective way to maximise your touring time in the city. As per many reviews the registration process can be cumbersome if you are not ‘prepared in advance’ and the one card for one bike policy is ridiculous. However...More

Just returned from a fab trip to Vienna (go there!) and wanted to pass on advice about Citybike rentals. Before you do it: a) register online before you try to take out a bike AND make sure you - either - have a credit card...More

These are a great way to see the city. There's a comprehensive number of cycle lanes, many separate from traffic. The bikes are very sturdy, and handle accordingly - tough up slopes and over bridges. Try and avoid cobbles as well. But considering they are...More

At first, I wanted to rate this four stars for these reasons: 1. I didn't find it cycling-friendly enough in vienna. Granted, I have only used similar systems in Australia and New Zealand. It's not about the absence of English. Signs were clear enough. I...More
