Classy

There is not much open on a Sunday morning, but this provided a classy retreat where a number of locals and tourists were actively enjoying a wine tasting, find food and atmosphere of ambience in a beautiful setting. Definitely worth a look if you have the time

information about “old” vorarlberg
Apr 2019 • Friends
the things you see are all about the area in vorarlberg; roman parts can be seen too as well as typical old fashioned working utilities!

Interesting collection in a Roman department. Great Romanesque and Gothic works of religious art taken from the richest churches.

User-Friendly Exhibition
Aug 2017 • Family
Exhibitions at the museum take one step forward to guests. There are many chances to come closer, touch, listen, explore and observe. It's very much user-friendly and fun! We spent few hours there, and museum's staffs are very kind. A cozy cafe is at the entrance. The museum excites children as well as adults.

Fascinating museum
Sep 2017 • Family
Really worth a visit. The museum has different exhibitions, all with a different starting point. From the regional history to art exhibitions to an exhibition about Roma and Sinti. And on top of that, there's a panorama room that offers a stunning view of the Bodensee.

worth a visit
Sep 2016 • Couples
The museum is quite new ( few years ) and it is definitely worth a visit. It has a lot of things to see and even for me ( I am born and grown up in Vorarlberg ) it has a lot of things to learn and see that I didn't know before. Also very interesting and exciting is the view you have over the lake when you go all the way up.

A great place to visit on a rainy day
Feb 2017 • Friends
This museum really does a wonderful job in showing you the many facets of the state of Vorarlberg. The Roman & Celtic exhibit is great for kids and the "meditation room" with an exceptional view of the lake a very special place for contemplation. The Café serves some wonderful goodies including a truffle chocolate cake that is to die for.

Not what I expected
Jan 2017 • Couples
I assumed that judging by the name it would show more of the mountain life history. It had a bit of what I was looking for but not enough. Some English is provided but not all the way through the museum. Don't forget to open the black drawers underneath the display areas.

An interesting and varied experience
Aug 2016 • Couples
Several floors of interesting exhibits cleverly displayed and well lit. We were amazed to be approached in English by a young room supervisor who realised we did not know about the panorama room on the top floor and who took us back there when he saw we were missing it.
