Great skiing instructors. Nina and Nicklas were super funny and children came back happy each day. Also great skiing improvement. Absolutely recommend!

We spend our ski vacations regularly in Austria and our children always go to a week-long ski school. That has always been a great experience for all of us, our children were safe, improved their ski skills and enjoyed every day.
This was not the case with Rote Teufel. We experienced grave situations of poor judgement and lack of care for kids well-being. On one occasion, the kids were left on a chair lift by themselves even though they didn't have the strength to pull down the chair barrier and stayed throughout the ride without the protection. On a heavily rainy day, the kids were left to wait for 30 minutes in pouring rain before being taken to the slopes (by then already fully wet), no one thought of putting an umbrella, or letting them wait on a covered location.
A very disappointing experience, I suggest you consider any of the other ski schools AND AVOID Rote Teufel.

Thank you for your feedback. Even if we would have been more happy if you had contacted us directly on site than to make a public complaint on the Internet, we have of course researched your case. In fact, the weather was very bad during your ski week and it rained very heavily. As you know, our assembly point is in an open field, which unfortunately does not offer any shelter, especially not for more than 70 people. Likewise, the ski school unfortunately cannot provide umbrellas in this number. However, some parents had umbrellas for their children. Unfortunately, umbrellas do not help while skiing because they fold already over at low speeds. Only good clothing helps here. Since the courses always start at 10 a.m., it would also be possible to appear a little shorter before 10 a.m. However, in this weather it was only a matter of time before you were completely wet. We spoke to the relevant teacher about the incident at the lift. After the ski area was hardly visited on this day, he decided to get on the lift with the smaller children of his group and to help them, since your children were already larger than the minimum size. The minimum size is determined by Bergbahn AG and the state of Tyrol. From this size children are allowed to use the lift without an accompanying adult. They are tall enough to reach the lift bar and should be able to close it. The professional staff of the Bergbahn makes every effort to ensure that children only take the lift from this size onwards. Unfortunately, we couldn't clarify 100% why your children couldn't close the bar. They have probably pulled on the cord for the weather protection, which is much more difficult to close than the light aluminum bracket. Of course, our teacher reacted immediately and always waited for adult companions on the following lift rides so that they could ride with your children in the lift, since he had to take care of the smaller children in the group. Nevertheless, we understand your concerns, of course, and we would like to apologize for this uncomfortable situation. However, we hope that you will now better understand the background of our actions and recognize that our teachers are constantly striving for the well-being of all children. We would be delighted if you would visit us again and give us a second chance to show you that the Rote Teufel ski school is not without reason one of the best ski schools in the world. A call to everyone on the Internet to stay away from the ski school, from our point of view and experience has unfortunately not helped to clarify such situations. We would have been happy to find a solution with you on site and explain everything to you. Sincerely yours Rote Teufel

Excellent ski school and couldn’t recommend enough.
Location is right next to the nursery slopes down low and right next to the main gondola out. We had white out days for all 3 days we were here sadly but went on the nursery slopes at base rather than going up and progressed really well. A shout out to Paul who was kind, patient and took it at a sensible pace as a group of 3 beginners of mixed confidences. I can’t believe the difference Paul has made in such a short time despite the weather.

This is a lovely little ski slope for beginners, it has great instructors for skiing and snowboarding as well as hire of equipment and sale of other ski items, free ski lift and a nice little cafe/ restaurant on site, we are going again tomorrow.😄🏂

We booked my 14 year old son into an advanced group as he is competent on all slopes including black. We told the instructor in the morning of his competence level and we’re assured that he would be placed in the correct group. We were totally ignored and he spent his day with 10 year olds skiing mainly blue slopes. A total waste of a day. The idea of him doing the ski school was to improve his skill. When we complained at the end of the day the manager at the office was not prepared to help in any way and was really quite rude and just passed the buck. We are regular visitors to Kitzbühel but will never again use this ski school. They are a shambles and have totally ruined a day of my sons holiday with no apology or offer of refund what so ever.

Dear Sarah, We are sorry that you had a bad experience both with us and another skischool in Kitzbühel. Our trainers always deliver a varied and dynamic lesson based on several factors including the skill level of the group, current condition of the slopes and the volume of skiers on each slope at any time. The training we provide is not just based on the difficulty rating of the slope but also on improving our clients general skill and technique on skis using a variety of exercises and drills which can be carried out on any slope. If you specially wanted your son to train only on black pistes maybe booking a private instructor would have been a better option for you.

AWFUL SERVICE!

We wanted our 3 years son to start skiing, made payment, but the instructor was just careless - he even didn't try to understand our child and just took off the skis from him and let him stand alone crying.

And all this only after 20 minutes from the start of the ski lesson!

NO REFUND, NOTHING.
THE WORST ATTITUDE YOU CAN IMAGINE.

STRICTLY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS "SKI SCHOOL"!

Dear Ms Mishchenko, we have already answered your 2 negative complaints on facebook. For us it is really strange as you were never coming to our main office for a complaint or to talk about a refund. We would have found a solution and or at least an explanation. So one more time we will repeat what was going on. There were 2 instructors working with 5 kids, yours included. As your kid is just 3 years old we gave it a try but it didn‘t work out. So you took your kid home with you as a result without a word. There was no complaint of you at all. 2 days later you return to our skischool without having a valid ticket for the day and force an instructor who was not in charge to instruct your kid. You should have come right away to our main office for a complaint. And we would have given you a refund for the day you‘ve purchased. As well next time I would recommend taking a tester hour for a kid your age. Best regards Rote Teufel management

Anna has our son for 3 days 1:1.

Firstly she was amazing with him, he lived going off with her, and she did the job and he was off!

We also had Helena for the older ones, again she was amazing and had them all over the mountain.

Thoroughly recommend 👍👍

We are a family of 5 (with 3 teenagers) and have used this ski school for 2 years now. Over that time we have had 2 private instructors and 3 ski school groups. All of our experiences have been excellent. My 3 teenagers were placed correctly in groups at their level and when there were people who did not suit the level they were quickly moved to a different group.
The private instructors were so professional, polite and hard working.(Garry and Charlie) When I was on the mountain I observed many many instructors from this ski school working with children. I noticed how helpful, patient and caring they always were. Also the backoffice staff are just wonderful especially V. I strongly recommend this Ski school.

Staff were so professional and helpful when booking they responded immediately. Daniek our instructor absolutely made our holiday, not only did she teach two young girls but she inspired them to the point they couldn’t wait for the lessons. No more crying being thrown into ski school!!! Seeing their enthusiasm was a highlight of the holiday. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the ski school or their instructors, also thought they were very good value for money.

Our daughter, 12 years old, was delighted to have private class with this Ski School, especially with the great instructor named Francesca, as my daughter first language is English and Francesca is bilingual English and German, coming from London like us. Thank you for the great time on the slopes!
