If you are especially interested in Alpine flowers, there are many on display. It's a small garden and pleasant to walk around but not especially impressive for the average tourist.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the butterfly greenhouse (which requires a small admission fee) where you could see dozens of butterflies flutter around (and on) you. The rest of the garden was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful pond filled with koi. The garden is very well kept and a definite recommendation if you like botanical gardens.

Perhaps not impressive in size or variety, this little garden offers a very pleasant place to just unwind. The ornamental pool of oriental influence contains fish of every colour, from opal to black and even one that is red blue and white. We were lucky enough to also see a huge bright blue dragonfly. You can meander through shady trees... More

It was just okay. Just somewhere if you wanted a walk in a park. Perhaps we are too use to much larger and grander botanical gardens.

A really nice small botanical garden. Everything well kept, lots in flower (exceeded our expectations for mid July, considering that they have a lot of alpines, which tend to be spring bloomers). We concentrated on the Alpine house and bed; we didn't go in the (mostly tropical) glasshouses for which an admission is charged. We parked on the street nearby,... More

Perfect place if you are interested in alpine flora, you can see plants for free in an arrangement that is close to their natural setting. Alone the masses of pulsatillas that happened to flower when I was visiting, were extremely impressive. Some exotic plants are also in the greenhouses, although rather small scale. Tranquil place to spend time.
