This is a colum built in the city centre of innsbruck as a monument to commemorate the last Bavarian troops driven from Tyrol on the st. Anne'so day as part of the war of the Spanish Success. It's a marble statue with four statues of the saints in the Base which are Saint Anne, the mother of Blessed Virgin Mary, cassia,-saint of diocese of bozrn-brixen. ,Vigils, -saint of diocese of Trient. ,saint George and the statue of Mary above the column.

The large column is very visible from afar. It is in the newer area of the town center close to the Rathaus and Kaufhaus shopping malls. Aside from the statue on top of the column, there are four other ones at the base. There are also multiple carvings on the base of the column. Quite a nice place to stop or meet up.

Located near the triumphal arche and the Marie-Theresien-Strasse this landmark is not to be missed. It is not so much that it is a one of a kind column, but esspecially the background stand out. The awesome architecture of the Innsbruck city center and the breathtaking mountains above, makes for a great picture!

Not sure what else I can add to what the others said already. It’s very tall and seems like a very popular meeting spot. You definitely gonna pass by it as it’s on one of the main streets of Innsbruck. Lovely!

Seems to be a central gathering point and where lots of people sit to people watch and enjoy the sunshine. Nice carvings and interesting figures.

Many tourists stop here to take a photo. Perhaps if you know the history of this column it may have meaning to you, but otherwise it is a column to admire, take in the view and continue your stroll through the old town. The views are definitely the greatest attraction in Innsbruck and make a stunning backdrop to the vintage architecture of the old town.

Nothing special about the column but hard to miss as it is right in the middle of the town. Managed to get some stunning day and night shots with mountains in the background. Lots of shops and restaurants around.

It is set in a nice, wide, car free part of the old center so it does stand out.

However looking at it closely it doesn't impress... no special sculptures on it just the color of the column itself is the only special feature... apart from that it is one like so many others...

Not a must see, but one you will see due to it's location.

Great to visit, lots of interesting features, also if you get it with the mountains behind it makes a stunning photo.
