We opted for the show, dinner and hotel pickup. The driver was one of the performers and the service was quite good. We hadn’t seen a show in the Tirol fashion for many years so it was fun. We would definitely recommend using their shuttle and having the dinner package. Schnitzel was served, and it was reasonably good. Most of the guests arrived in large tour buses and were marched in like cattle. Using the restaurant shuttle brought us in and out quickly. Having the meal package we sat at a comfortable table, while the others sat theater style.

This show is absolutely worth it. Bring the whole family because you don't want to miss this. If you think it is to far, just use your innsbruck card on the local buses and the brown 'o' bus will drop you off in front of the pub.

The kids figured out over the Internet the surprise that waited for them after dinner. They were grousing and moaning. But we all loved it. The most jaded kid (You must be joking) had running commentary going on her instagram. The surprise finale had us standing. And as an added bonus the tuba player gave us a lift to our hotel when our taxi didn’t show in the rain.

The Tyrolean Folk Show in Innsbruck is a delightfully entertaining evening of music, dance, yodeling, and stage acrobatics. The show moves along quickly with a variety of acts from start to finish. You'll enjoy the energy and the skill of the performers. There is humor to go along with the music, dancing and yodeling. Ultimately, the show is a good introduction to Tyrolean performance culture.

It was a great experience. The entire cast played different instruments, sang folk songs. We also witnessed some entertaining interludes amidst Austrian folk dance. It was 1.5 hours show but we did not want it to end!
At the end of the show, the artists did a great gesture. They sang 2 lines from a famous song of each country that was represented by the audience. There were people from Spain, Australia, Africa and we 3 friends were the only ones from India. It was so moving when they sang " Saare jahan se achha" for us.
It was a great gesture.
The Tyrolean music show was held at Gasthaus Sandwirt, Reichenauer Str. 151, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria
Tickets can be bought from Klook.com as well in advance.
It was an evening well spent!

This is a fun show with light hearted entertainment, much enjoyed by the crowd who attended. We took the dinner/show package and the food was fine, the show was worth seeing and the fact that they picked you up and dropped you back (for a small charge) made it very easy also! Talented cast who obviously enjoy what they do!

We booked this upon recommendation by our hotel concierge. The show itself was good, predictably cheesy and will remind you at times of Clark W Griswold in Germany in National Lampoons European Vacation. The performers are all very talented so for the show we would recommend it.
On the other hand, we really disliked the setup pertaining to serving drinks and the location itself.
When we arrived 15 minutes before the show we really just wanted a cold beer (for the reasons stated below in terms of location in the middle of nowhere) and were told a server would come to us. Nobody ever did. In fact, the only server for the entire show spent all his time going up and down to the tour groups trying to get them drinks. After waiting 10 minutes into the show, we finally had to ask a waitress who walked by if we could just have our beers and she was nice enough to do it. There were no bartenders working the bar so you are waiting along with literally probably 100 people and can't even just go to the bar and pay for a drink. After we finished our beers, the server (again, for the whole room) just happened to walk by on his way back from the tour group in front toward the bar with a couple of extra beers. We got his attention and ended up paying 4 Euros for 2 warm beers which apparently been on the tray for a period of time. As we didn't want to have to beg for more warm beer with this terrible system, we decided to leave the show at intermission. It is unfortunate that nobody at this show apparently wants to make money and allow patrons just to go get a cold beer. How hard would it be to have someone working the bar so patrons who want more than 1 small beer for a show could get one?
Last, the physical location is in a very inconvenient residential neighborhood not near any tourist spots. While they offer a shuttle to pick you up from say a hotel, this is not practical if you want to eat dinner somewhere first and not at the show. As we like to choose our food not from limited menus, we wanted to eat in Old Town after which it took us 45 minutes to walk to this location and we felt somewhat unsafe in the area. We didn't like that there is no taxi stand on site and you have to go up to a sketchy BP gas station in order to get a taxi, which was another reason we left early (not wanting to fight for a taxi after the show)

Hello from Innsbruck!
Thanks a lot for your review! In the first place please accept our apologies for our drinks service not being efficient the night of your visit, this is for sure not a usual situation and drinks should be served quickly & cold as usual. Sorry for that - if we can offer a small compensation to you please let us know by sending us your contact adress!
On the other hand we thank you for your positive comment for our show programme and are really sorry that you did not stay until the end as the 2nd part is even the highlight of our show! One reason to come back and our entire show!!!
Concerning the transfer, you seemed to have been misinformed by our hotel concierge about the transfer: we offer transfers at 7pm for clients that want to have dinner before the show at our restaurant + there is a 2nd pick-up time at 8pm for clients who prefer to have dinner elswhere (or who eat during the programme). So there are transfer possibilities for all different options and preferences. The area our restaurant is located in is aprox. 2km from the city center and for sure 100% safe as Innsbruck is in general being a small Austrian city.
So we really hope to have you back at our venue one day incl. pick-up and drop-off service at your preferred time making sure that next time you get to see the entire show and a couple of nice cold beers!
Kind regards
Martin Gundolf

The Gundolf family and friends have done research on typical Tyrolean music, and feature typical alps songs and dances. They play (and play very well) tuba, trumpet, trombone, double bass, harp, accordion, alpine horns, xylophone. The group was founded in 1967 over 50 years ago.

Hello
I cannot find the menu anywhere for the dinner. My wife is Vegan. Can I see the menu options? If we buy the the three course dinner, do we have to order or check in while we are there?

Good day
We are considering the Tyrolean evening when in Innsbruck at the end of the month. What is the smoking policy as we really don't want to watch if people are allowed to smoke during the show. it seems Austria is still quite relaxed when it comes to smoking laws in establishments.
