To reach this place one can trekk the mountain or easy way is taking the cable car. There is a Innsbruck card (savers pack) which provides lot of free entrance and free local transport. Do check for this card with your host or at Hbf (central railway station). At innsbruck one can travel from peak to peak. There is well... More

This Innsbruck Card benefit can be used to combine both a beautiful viewing of Innsbruck and a hiking experience (all or part way) depending on a traveler's likes.

Once you are at the top you have a beautiful view of the mountains and depending on the clouds a view of the city too. Don't forget to take a jacket or sweater as it can be cold at that height. The trip in the cable cars was quick and efficient. We bought the Innsbruck Card, which is good value... More

This is a really cool cable train ride up to the point where you can take the cable car up to Nordkette. Buy the Innsbruck Pass which gives you a pass to everything in Innsbruck. I think the cost of the train trip alone is 32 Euros, and the Innsbruck Pass is 39 Euros. It gives you free admission to... More

Great view of Innsbruck and the surrounding valley on a clear day. Access to climbing and hiking trails. Nice restaurant at the top station.

As long as the sun is shining make your way to the very top of the mountain. It takes a funicular and 2 cable cars to get there but the view is worth it. There are also lots of paths if you are into hiking

Excellent thing to do on a clear day, you can see the view of the whole city and the villages next to Innsbruck. There are a lot of sheeps on the mountain too, they keep the grass nice and short for a nice walk in the summer. If you want to do a little hiking at the top, make sure... More

Nordkettenbahn was a nice day trip. It is quite expensive but if you buy a Innsbruck card, we found that covered our trip to the top and for the rest of the time you have free public transport throughout innsbruck and free access to a lot of the sights. The top was great, we were lucky for good weather, however... More
