About
We're an Austrian Gliding school and also the official training partner of Stemme AG operating internationally. We staff only the most experienced gliding instructors and competition pilots. Our passion is advanced mountain soaring and adventures around the world. For first timers and anyone curious about seeing the alps from above we offer trail flights, depending on the current weather conditions. All flights start with a safety briefing and we make sure to answer all your questions you might have about flying, the plane, geography, etc. We train anyone interested from scratch and teach licensed pilots more complicated skills of thermals, wave, convergence and ridge soaring. Most importantly, we teach you how to stay safe in the mountains and how to operate modern selflaunching sailplanes.

I was looking for an air tour experience and I honestly had a helicopter tour in mind. However, given the costs, I reconsidered my choice and found this gliding tour experience. I must say this was a million times better. Not only the prices are more affordable for the time you spend up there, the experience is different: Gliding gives you the feeling of real flying, it is silent and you can have thrilling moments as well as calm moments of just admiring the landscapes. I had the opportunity to see my favorite peaks in the alps such as Matterhorn, Mt. Blanc, the north face of the Eiger among others. I would do this again without hesitation.

If you are an adventure freak and looking for real excitement Mountain Soaring at Innsbruck is one awesome place. Here you find yourself gliding in the winds with the engine of the glider is completely shut down after take off and attaining some height approximately 6000 - 7000 ft. You will completely soar in air like a bird. Its once in a life time experience and a million dollar one. The instructors Markus & Airoli are brilliant in the job and make you feel relax during the entire flight cos its sometimes frightening and scary. Its never for the weak hearted and should not try in a rainy day. Its difficult to soar at such heights in poor weather. But those who really loves adventures and want to feel the adrenaline rush one should try without any doubt. Its a complete value for money exercise and one can never repent for anything. Also during the flight one can catch the spectacular views of the Innsbruck city and the Alps ranges. Thanks both to Markus & Airoli for making it happen, you guys are just awesome and great human beings. Hope to meet you guys again. Cheers.

I really wanted to get an experience of glider from the age of my twenties, but recently I become thirties and never had a single glider experience....
However this time I could finally get a big vacation and I planed a train travel in Europe and decided to choose this mountain soaring considering my destinations.
Since glider was my first experience, I asked various things through e-mails and because they gave me quick and polite answers, I got a good feeling of them.
And when I got on the glider, the scenery that I had never seen before greeted me.
Mountains and streets of Innsbruck with snow makeup! Astonishingly surprised by the mountains coming closer and closer but also a superb gliding by a veteran pilot.
Sometimes I was surprised and a bit scared by the shaking caused by the turbulence but I had a very good time on it.
Next time, if I have a time, I will definitely go again to soar above the Innsbruck sky!!
グライダーは20代の頃から経験してみたいと思っていたがそのままやることもなく３０代へ。
しかしまとまった時間がようやくでき、今回の鉄道旅行の目的地でグライダーが楽しめる場所を探した時に見つかったのがこのマウンテンソアリングだった。
グライダーは初めての経験になるのでメールを通して色々と聞いてみたがレスポンスも早く丁寧に答えてくれたので好感が持てた。
そしていざグライダーへ乗ってみるとそこでは今まで見たこともない景色が迎えてくれた。
雪化粧を施されたインスブルックの山々や町並み。そしてどんどんと近づいてくる山々に驚きつつもベテランの操縦士による見事な滑空。
時折気流による激しい揺れに驚きながらもとても楽しい時間を過ごせました。
また今度時間がとれたら是非もう一度行ってみたいと思います！！

I had the best time flying with Markus! It's probably one of the best experiences you can have in Europe: it's a great opportunity to fly a modern glider and have a unique point of view of the Alps surrounding Innsbruck. Our flight had incredible views of the city, nearby mountains and glaciers!
They were very responsive and Markus gave me a detailed briefing about the aircraft and the Innsbruck area. I highly recommend Mountain Soaring and can't wait to come back!

i saw gliders by innsbruck airport when i landed and signed up, not knowing what i was really getting into. it was incredible- i got to steer for a bit, learned a lot about thermals and we went for hours all over the beautiful surrounding alps. i came for ski touring, but this was the most memorable part of my trip for sure! it got me very interested in gliding/ soaring, and i bet if i had had more flight experience beforehand i would have learned even more. what an awesome way to experience the alps & nature!

We booked the flight couple weeks earlier, but due to weather conditions had to shift the time. contact person from Mountain Soaring tried their best to ensure our comfort and best experience. we where 8 people in the business trip and it was lifetime memory for each and every guest. we made group flights 3 glider in the air at a time, so we were able to film each other in the air, overflying Zugspitze, highest mountain of Germany, it was breathtaking.
And can not help mentioning my pilot, Dominic, such a talented person and professional. My respect to hem and to the whole Team!

A fabulous way to see the mountains around Innsbruck. Easy to book the flights via their website, very quick to correspond and worked hard to accommodate all four of us wanting to glide on the same day! Aurel and Marcus did a great job and made us feel comfortable and relaxed for our 1.5 hour flight. They are happy to explain the technical side of gliding and also have a broad knowledge of the city and its environs. We all thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would thoroughly recommend it-a treat!

I’ve always been awed by eagles flying around the mountains. I was reading up on things to do in Innsbruck in winter other than skiing. How fortunate I was to have found Mountain Soaring Enterprise. Markus the pilot gave a detailed briefing and prepared me well before the flight.
The flight - it was cold but I can only say that the view of the mountain ranges in winter is indescribable. Like Markus put it; the glide was silent and calm. Gliding is a totally unique flight experience. You really have to try this. You’ll learn something about science, geography and certainly appreciate Innsbruck more. Thanks Markus and Aurel for taking me to the skies in winter!

Can a 4.5 year old also join me? What are the charges for the child? How do we book? How do we reach there?

Absolutely not, the glider is having only 2 seats so there is no room for a 3rd person since the 1st one is occupied by the pilot. Also the minimum age for such adventure rides are 18+ years. Even the adults sometimes vomits and feels dizzy, its a tough adventure as well. Even after the ride one feels uneasiness. Its never recommended for children and for 4 years old never. Plz ensure to have light meal before the ride couple of hours before , with heavy meal one is sure going to vomit. Price is 400 euros per head for 1 and half hour ride after some discounts. During peak season it's more. Good luck.
