We loved the Salzburg Museum around the corner from Mozartsplatz; Our 15-year-old was as equally impressed as we were. The back and forth wars with France was especially interesting, as I had never heard of them before. It shows how the real estate around there has shifted ownership over and over through history.

So much to see so much to do. Lots of shops and plenty of sights. The market shops were good and the food was also pretty tasty. Had a wonderful day with family.

Great place to walk about around take in the sights of the Salzburg. Yes, it's like a big mall with many of the usual shops that you'd find in the U.S. but also has many local options for food/drink and gifts. Pick up a pretzel and enjoy the walk.

Take the time to walk through the old town and spend your time window shopping. You can find everything from souvenirs to Monte Blanc pens. Horse drawn carriage rides go through all the side streets and plenty of outdoor musicians playing classical music.
