This church stands out on the city skyline and it draws like a magnet to you. It is one of the larger churches in Salzburg. It is rather plain on the outside, but it is a totally different story on the inside. The altar area is beautiful, and inspiring. A visit here is mandated when in Salzburg.

This blend of romanic, gothic and baroque styles is amazing. The columns in the central part are infinitely tall and the ceiling artwork made up of beautifully intersecting lines make ofr a spectacular effect. Make sure you include it in your tour activities.

An unassuming exterior gives way to a truly breathtaking gothi interior, the altar is astounding as are the side chapels and the stone and stucco work is extraordinary. Definitely worth a visit though you should ensure your camera is silent as it is used as a regular place of silent prayer by many people

During our trip in Sept 2016, while moving on our way to Salzburg Fortress, this church was on our way. I loved its beauty, structure and portraits are in the church, they are so huge, so bright one will fall in love with the art.

Very warm, calm, serene place. As usual, there is the main altar , side altar, back balcony with organ, praying pews. As like most others, it is quite dim inside. Say a prayer, stay calm. Then continue your tour of old town

I was in awe as soon as I opened the doors to the church. The walkway and arches are cast a shadow so your eyes are immediately drawn to the end of the church where light comes in and makes the elaborate centerpiece glow. It's beautiful!

I came here for the high mass at 9 am on Sunday morning. The singing and the organ were so beautiful and I enjoyed the service, even though I could only understand about half of it. The building is beautiful on the inside and out and I enjoyed being with the locals of the town.

There are so many churches in Salzburg. This is one of my favourite. It has an amazing high ceiling supported by tall columns. The interior is not very big but just beautiful. Entrance is free. It is not crowded as the Salzburg Cathedral.
