Great views

Beautiful easy walk, do both the 30min walk and the 5min.

The 30min taking about an hour due to the amazing views and pictures. the 5min have steep stairs but is worth the climb.

Beautiful but shorter dan imagined
Aug 2019
During our roundtrip we walked several gorges. This was the first. We had to make a detour to get there but still we were early on the day. Parking is free and entrance is cheap compared to other gorges especially compared to prices in Slovenia. It was still very quiet which is why we wanted to be early. To enjoy the nature to the fullest without hordes of tourists. The path along the gorge is very well maintained but at some points very small. This can be tricky or cause traffic jams because the way back is the same as the way you came. Especially later on the day it can therefore feel very crowded.
The gorge itself is beautiful but smaller than we expected. Make sure you keep your entrance ticket if you decide to leave the gate at the end to walk a little further or go to a local restaurant. You can re-enter the path with your ticket.
Nice to combine with Gollinger waterfalls.

Very beautiful but expensive
Jul 2019 • Family
Of course this is a very nice piece of nature. And we, who come here for a long time also had to see it once. We paid 16 Euro for our family. And although it is fantastic I still also think why does this have to cost money. There is so much beautiful nature in this part of Austria to see for free!

Beautiful gorge, nice and moderate walk for familes
Jun 2019 • Family
We visited in June 2019. It was very hot, and we expected some cool air during our descent. The gorge is wide-open to the sky and did not afford cool air. We were not disappointed though. The water and the formations were beautiful.

Beautiful and fun for family

Beautiful walk with nice views of the river. There are two walks. The short one is about 10 minutes one way. The longer one is 30 minutes each way. Both are beautiful.

Good family walk
Jun 2019
A manageable walk for young couple and parents - not too challenging, and a couple spots along the way to rest. We saw people of all ages on the trail. The path is half an hour in each direction (longer if you’re stopping for pictures, naturally). The major negative in our eyes is that you return via the same path rather than a circular route. Don’t miss the guest house when you exit on the other side, a good place to take a break before heading back.

Part of a great travel route

We passed the gorge on the way back from Hallstatt. You can still see the saline chute used to transport saline down to villages below that had not not used up their resources of firewood.

An Exciting family gateway
Apr 2019 • Family
The Lammerklamm gorge is a must go place if you are in and around 'Hallein'.
its mix of adventure, trekking, and gorgeous views. Gusting sound of water with the sight of kayaking surfers.
Absolutely recommend this place to the family with 5+-year-old kids.

An exciting trip to nature
Aug 2018
We had a great summer holiday in Annaberg in Lammmertal. The Lammer-river was very calm and peaceful runnung behind our hotel. We wanted to see the wild river, too so we visited Lammerklamm. It was amazing, fantastic, but a bit tiring. You need comfortable shoes because you have walk a lot. But it worth, it exciting and beautiful!
