History and some art. I went through very fast. It was not one of my favorite museum experiences. Others better.

This ultra-modern facility is well-situated off the Altstadt near the Domquartier and proved to be a convenient sanctuary from Salzburg's incessant rain...Apart from some confusion using the inter-leading display halls, the exhibits were tastefully displayed and well-titled in both German and English, rendering the complexity...More

The unique historic & architecture center of Salzburg. Its a living proof that a modern museum can inform and yet at the same time entertain its visitors.

This museum has lots to see. The musical instrument displays were fascinating and show the importance that music played in the area. The Salzburg card got us into most of the museums free or at a substantial discount.

It was raining so we popped in here. The Rick Steves guide gave this a 2 which is good. We go to a lot of museums in Europe. This one needed a good audio in English but the attendant told us the English text would...More

The museum itself had a large number, and varying range of exhibits. Being a musician, I particularly enjoyed the instrument exhibition. However there were some points that took away from this visit. When you arrived, if your bag was larger than a certain size you...More
