Fantastic outdoor swimming pool. Lovingly called Lepi by Salzburgers. There are five pools and very nice facilities including an almost 70 m. long waterslide. The complex is among the largest in Austria and thanks to the nice grassmeadows you can always find a spot for your self. Leopoldskron is fantastic for children with not less than three pools for children. All with sunprotection. One for the smallest with a depth of 20 cm. Including a small creek. One with 30 cm depth. And a bigger with a "learn to swim" area where the waterdepth goes from 0 to 60 cm. For adults there is a 50m Olympic pool.

Beautifully clean water and surroundings, lots of space for kids to play and decks for adults to sunbathe. There are restaurants and cafes, plus beach volleyball and a mini golf. Definitely worth a visit. It was exactly what we needed after 2 weeks of cities and sight seeing!

Large outdoor pool area. Fun pool and good 50 m length swimming pool. Very clean spacious grounds and gardens . A very pleasant couple of hours on a sunny late afternoon after sightseeing all day.

A lovely place to hang out - 3 different pools, plus lockers and snack bars. It was wonderful to swim with a mountain view. I paid 3 euros for my swim, less than a coffee!

This open-air pool occupies a large site with ample grass to set yourself up on. The pools are immaculately maintained, offering a good variety, and there is even a diving tower going up to 10 metres, although this is only open for an hour a day. A good water slide. You have a great view of the Festung Hohensalzburg as... More

So glad our school group from US saw where part of the Sound of Music was filmed. It was a rainy day so our pics weren't bright and sunny. Glad we were able to see all the sites where the film was made!!

This gorgeous palace sits serenely behind a beautiful lake in the countryside on the outskirts of Salzburg. Built by the Prince Archbishop of Salzburg in 1736 as his family home it is now a very exclusive hotel. Now a stayover here would be nic.

This place is such a beauty! One cannot but stop for a while and admire the scenery and the whole environment... Even if it is not accessible to outsiders as this is a private place, the beauty of the Leopoldskron mirrored on the lake is so calming for one's senses..to get there: get bus 25 and alight at nonntall..here you... A must go place in warm weather with great lake and swimming pool with slides. Wonderful views of mountain and castle. People told me also popular area in winter when the lake freez as it is man made shallow lake.

Great, well maintained pool for all. If visiting for longer, get a pass for all the Freibaeder, 10 pass for 2 or 3 kids, can use same pass. Lovely, fun slides and good spring and diving boards.
